*wipes tears* beautifully done. i hate John sometimes, but i understand his motivations. but sometimes i wish that the price wasn't too high for all the Winchesters. Perhaps one day, John thought, he’d get the chance to save him back. Love the continuity to the canon. :p
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I actually feel sorry for John most of the time, Dean is like him in a way 'cos most of the time they both do what they have to, not what they want to. I hope that this shows in this story. Dean's reasons are just based on a better set of principles. But yes, John can be hateful something too. When I wrote that Dean had saved his dad the last line just jumped up and begged to be written 'cos as we all know he does. Thanks again, Mary xx

Hey, I'm a firm believer that Dean will do anything for Sam, and that's a habit that he picked up a long time ago. This was a totally believable Wee!chester story for me. Good job. Sue

Smudge 93 - You created an amazing glimpse into a positively heart-wrenching moment. Tears came to my eyes when I read: "I didnt' know when you were coming back, I was worried that there wasn't gonna be enough to last until then. I didn't want Sammy to be left hungry." and John's internal response: "Yeah son, 'cos you know what that's like, don't you?" Aww, what a real tear jerker! When John was sitting there holding the belt, hating what he was about to do I thought he was going to punish Dean. But the real punishment was even worse.
Author's Response: HI there, It does read like that at one point and I never realised that it did, John may verbally abuse his sons but I don't think he'd ever raise a hand to them.
