Just discovered this now and read it all in one go. AWESOME story! It was funny, at times scary, sad, touching. Just awesome! I'm wondering, though, was this something you were hoping we'd pick up on, or was it a tiny continuity error: “They were all men, we know that. What we didn’t know, what wasn’t reported in the papers, is that each of them had sons – or at least, one son.” I was just wondering if this was hinting at the whole Dean/Ben Braeden thing (from "The Kids Are Alright"), since the spirit went after Dean for being a "bad boy." 'Cos if it was, then WOO HOO for me for cathing it. :) Excellent story. I'm going to have to read more of your stuff!
Author's Response: And you got it! Yay!!! ROFL - wonder if anyone would see that, to be honest.... While I'm not actually in the camp that believes Ben's his actual son, I did think perhaps the spirit world gets things mixed up from time to time, and that *he* would believe he was. Also, just cos Dean hasn't found out about a kid he might have, doesn't mean he doesn't have one somewhere... With all those girls he can't even remember the name of, there must be an accident out there waiting to be discovered, LOL. Originally, the spirit went after Dean for being "a bad boy" cos he spends all his time chasing skirt - and at the beginning of the story he was mixing with married ladies, LOL. Thanks for the catching that - and thanks for reading it all in one go! Your eyes must really hurt now... Ta!

great story. i really liked how you had Dean connecting with Martin and James. i also liked how you had Sam thinking Dean reminded him of John when Dean rose his voice to the boys. again great job i really liked this story. Renee

Oh, that was sneaky, I review the last chappie and then realised that you'd sneaked the last on in while I wasn't looking!! I loved this story, really did. There is something about a really good ghost story that catches me and this one had all the elements - great bad ghost, loved the little boys and you got Sam and Dean spot on. Loved the little back story with the 8 ball. Awesome and Ace! Cheers til the next time. Mary xx
