Hi there Ilka,

Ah young Sam can still wrap Dean around his little finger! Trust Sam to find pink marshmallows though....

A nice glimpse at the boys as boys and not a whump in sight!

Author's Response:

Hi Al, thanks for dropping by. If you want whump, go read Links or 31 seconds. I do have a sequel to this one but actually not sure if I post it. Will give it some thought. There is some whump in the sequel...

Left ya a review on the Alphabet thing. Go read, it's a little different to yesterday's comments.

Hugs, Ilka

I love Sammy and his marshmallows.....trying to cheer Dean up!!  GReat job!

Author's Response:

Hey ya.

Thank you for leaving a review. Sammy and marshmallows, that's like fairy tales and princesses, a nice combination, fluffy (Sammy) and puffy (marshmallows), lol. And I think in the end he really cheered Dean up, don't you?´

Well. Thanks for takin' the time.

Cheers, Ilka

I agree with you.  I also needed something upbeat.  I really liked the story.

Author's Response:

Hey Sharon.

So you're new, huh? Well, I'll be damned. I am glad you are here and left me a review. Some days suck, don't they? Mine sucks out loud. I guess I should read my own story again, huh?

Thanks and you are always welcome to leave a review. Anytime.

Ilka, that was great I loved it and yeah, it helped me too, brought a tear to my eyes and made me smile.  Kinda left a warm glowy feeling too!  If only all their camping trips could've been so good they would never have started hating them so much.

Now, go and get that flight booked - I can't wait to see you!

Big hugs x Jane x

Author's Response:

HAHA! Hi Jane.

I'll try to do that as soon as the moving in business is over. And I feel almost sorry for making you cry. I am glad you smiled too.

And it wasn't really camping, was it? Rather a marshmallow pyre. Somehow it was practice for their later torching jobs.

Can't wait to see too. Owh. I hope I'll still have enough money to make it at halloween.

Thanks for the review and the lovely stars to go along.

Hugs ya and snogs ya. Ilka

this was really good.

you are right ....it did brighten up an otherwise dismal Friday.

I really like the way you handled Dean's anger and Sammy's method of cheering up his big brother.

Skillfully woven words painted a perfect picture of the boys and their need to be connected . EXCELLENT job!!!

Dean's teasing of his baby brother , so normal, so necessary for both boys to keep their emotional balance. AWESOME writing.!!!

 Thanks for sharing.

BRAVO!!!

Author's Response:

Hey ReccaF,

I have to stop and take a breath before I go on with my response. WOW. What a wonderful review. And the stars on top of it. Thank you SO much.

Skillfully woven? perfect picture? Awesome? Well, I never. Excellent?

Jeez I am at a loss. Normally I blab a lot. But your review shut me up for a quarter of an hour. Which is a very long time for me.

I am glad the story lifted your spirits as this is exactly why it was written. We all need a winging sometimes.

Thanks again. I am still blushing...

A nice gentle cheery tale. Thank you, it makes a lovely change from all the angst and hurt the boys are generally put though.

Thank you .

Author's Response:

Hello AnnBell.

Thank you for taking the time to rate and review my story. I am rather new to being gentle to the boys. They usually suffer at my hands. Terribly. Especially Dean.

But I felt happy for the first time in a long time while writing this oneshot. So, it turned out to be a happy, cheering thing. Not that I tend to make the boys suffer when I am sad. Nope. That actually cheers me. I know. I am a sadist and a perv.

But aren't we all? Just a bit?

Hugs, Ilka

That was such a nice story. It helped me to chill out after a tough day at work thank you.

Jacq

Author's Response:

Hey Jacq. Nice of you to drop by and leave a review and those very appreciated stars. Thanks a million.

And I am glad it worked for you too. Writing it cheered me up after a horrible fortnight. And if it hadn't been for bulletbabe's humourous prompt I wouldn't have been able to write anything. This site is such a great thing. I love all those people out there.

Hugs ya, Ilka

you know, this spring i went to the States, spent some time with a few authors from the site, and had my first campfired marshmallows... Well, we also had purple nurples, but that's not the point, lol.

nice oneshot, i always enjoy a good wee or teenchester.

Author's Response:

Salut Frederique.

Je suis très heureuse que tu aimes mon histoirette.... Uhm gawd. School was a long time ago. Though I didn't do bad at French. Honestly!

I am German and know how difficult it is to write in another language. So a praise from you is very welcome as you can estimate how much work  a short story, let alone a multi-chaptered one really mean.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. And yeah, I wanted a campfire and marshmallows after writing.

Hugs, Ilka

Ilka hunny.

What I like best about this story is the ending, the way it all comes together to be a metamorphosis from a sad to a happy situation, the way Sam becomes the protector for Dean for a short time. It's lovely and sweet and funny.  Oh and cute banner too!  Bev xx

Author's Response:

Bev, thank you for taking the time for me. At every moment.

When Lou said those three words, I had the ending in front of my eyes. So I only had to develop a story matching this. And yeah, I like it best too. It's full of hope.

Lou is an artist, isn't she? And to provide the essentials for a decent story (idea and banner). She is a gem.

Loves ya, Ilka

What a beautiful story.

Sweet and lovely, make's me want to go and eat Marshmallows lol.

Author's Response:

Hi ya Lindsay. I always love to hear your views on my stuff! So thanks for leaving a review.

I needed a winging the other day and Lou provided it. That was my cue to help others - especially the boys, hehe - to experience something cheerful for a change.

Hugs, Ilka
