its good so far... love it

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I had such a good time writing the Wees! that I want to do another...after I finish everything else I have started. Thank you for reading.

This chapter was an absolute stroke of GENIUS!  I absolutely love the young Dean's velvety smooth manipulation.  Seriously brilliant!

Author's Response: What a surprise! Thank you so much for your kind review. I hope you enjoy the rest as I had great fun writing this one.

As hard it is for me to see this story end, it was a stunning closure and thank you just isn't enough! Like Dean I won't forget Jewels (how could I?) and you really made my day each and every time with your wonderful writing, adored young Dean and also loved John and little Sammy, there are so many special scenes I will remember! Now I can't wait to read "Season of the witch", this means a lot to me. Again, a huge thank you!!!

Good story!  I've followed it from the beginning- not a great reviewer, I'm afraid- and was hooked from the first scene in the bar.  I liked Jewels and her relationship with the boys a lot.

You're killing me with this painful goodbye, grand scene! Especially Dean will dearly miss Jewels, but thank you for "a deal's a deal", a precious gift she made him - and we know how much he needs it!

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 30/09/08 01:53 PM · On: Chapter 29

So glad John and Jewels are at ease with each other again, what sad and bittersweet moments they shared. I don't know how you did this, but you made Jewels so real and she's just such an exceptional person and would have been a blessing for John and the boys, really don't want them to seperate (and yes, I know there is no future for them), so I kind of treasure the moment and it was a perfect one!!

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 27/09/08 08:47 AM · On: Chapter 28

You absolutely made my day with this great description of Bobby's home, this was such a treat, felt like taking a tour into their world! Glad, John is better and Jewel's talk with Bobby sure brought up some interesting questions.

Author's Response: I'm always looking at what's in the background in movies and TV shows (probably because I'm an extra and always in the background) and loved how Bobby's house looked in'Dream' but by the looks of her in 'Are You There God' she hasn't aged very well.

I've never submitted a review on a story before, although I am an avid reader of Supernatural fan fiction.  I want you to know that Daddy's Gone Hunting has been one of my all time favorites.  I love the Jewels character and her interaction with Dean.  She is exactly the type of person that would get through to Weechester Dean.  Most, however, I appreciate your so timely updates.  I hate to start reading a story and have the updates so far and few between that I have to go back and re-read to see what the whole thing is about.  Thank you so much.

Author's Response: Thanks you so much, Fan. I'm honored to be your first review. Sometimes it only takes one to keep an author going so please don't hesitate to post a review when ever and where ever you think one is deserved. I  only write one fic at a time and post it as I go along while I draft new ones in my head. Otherwise, I'd be going back to see what I was writing about myself. Thank you again.

Girl,

God, I'm stupid.  I knew what  supernatural being Mari is but the stupid truck just hit me as to who she is!!!  LOL

Great writing as usual - love the dynamic between Dean and Jewels.

Carry on wayward author,

Pook

Author's Response:

Pook!

Thanks!  I was wondering if anyone would recognize her name or her modus operandi.

You not stupid, you smart.

Great one, meanwhile I'm all worked up about the situation, I want John well again and back with his boys; you had in here such a lovely brother interaction, so catching Dean and Sam, enjoyed it enormously and you know how much I like Jewels. But what about the house, on fire? Can't wait for the next chapter!

Author's Response:

It's been a long haul but only one, maybe two chapters left and remember I try never to tie up all the loose ends.

There's no rest for them - great Jewels/Dean scene (this unbelievable kid, overwhelming), I'm all along with Jewels between laughing and crying. Now I have to know how John is, it can't end this way for him, not after everything he has been through to stop this creature and the dying, never expected this turn and it absolutely frightens me!

Author's Response: Just a few more miles to South Dakota and Bobby!

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 19/09/08 01:32 PM · On: Chapter 25

Yep, this turned out exactly as bad as feared, and it really hurts to see Jewels, Dean and even John (now I like him too much to leave him out, I owe you for this!!) so down and unhappy. You did a grand job with writing these guys! Jewels however will keep her promise to Dean, no matter what, just love her style.

Author's Response: Stay tuned. We've rounded the club house turn and are headed for home...South Dakota that is.

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 17/09/08 02:23 PM · On: Chapter 24

Mari sure understands her business, the personified temptation! But to see what this does to Dean, John by deceiving Jewels taking this warm and secure place away from him, that's so sad and unfair (and I'm just glad at least Sam is too young to get this); Dean so would deserve a little bit of family and basic trust - wonder how they will deal with this on top of everything else, more please!!

Author's Response: All you need do is ask. Another chapter of the never ending story coming up.

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 15/09/08 01:24 PM · On: Chapter 23

Marvellous chapter! John revealing his feelings about Mary and her death, his anger and despair, this shows so clearly how much Jewels means to him, it's heartbreaking, even more as this affection is returned but has no prospect, not with the fate they're confronted with. Still Jewels is a very subtle observer, pointing out Sam is the heir and Dean the one to "protect and serve" - and for telling John I like her more than ever, he has to see what damage he can do to both his boys by treating them this way; she really is some special lady!l

Author's Response: Not that it was Daddy!Shut-Up's fault totally but we know how things turned out for Dean.

Reviewer: CatzEye (Signed) · Date: 15/09/08 03:30 AM · On: Chapter 23

Good!  Gosh- I just love the way you're weaving this tale!

Keep on!

Author's Response: Thanks so much. I just sit down at the computer and pull the stuff out of my...well, you get it. It's taking longer to wrap it up than I thought.

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 13/09/08 01:27 PM · On: Chapter 22

"...they like to be called little people" and "Robert Plant" (the Led Zeppelin Robert Plant I guess), oh I loved this! But then - with Mari's startling reappearance it seems there won't be a happy ending for them and that's real scary!!

Author's Response: About Mari's return, I am the QUEEN of the red herring!

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 13/09/08 01:23 PM · On: Chapter 21

Why do John's nightmares scare me this much, especially the part where he alleges Mary? I kind of connect this to his relation with Jewels, really makes me worry how this will end, impressive images!

Reviewer: azucre (Signed) · Date: 12/09/08 11:22 PM · On: Chapter 20

"Dean had slept like a log only waking up once to shove Sammy away after the goober had farted."

I howled like a lunatic over this one, you make the boys so damned real, and I adore Jewels.

I dread the end of this amazing story.  I am so relieved you have another piece lined up, otherwise it would be a painful withdrawal.

Author's Response: Thanks so much. I have brothers!

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 12/09/08 02:09 PM · On: Chapter 20

While they're anxiously waiting if John will change (very tense atmosphere!) you give us such a lovely picture of these three, especially little Sam; always liked this touch of innocence he preserved - thanks to Dean - a lot and their fun time with the sheriff described this so good (still smile about Sam wondering how much money Jewels might owe Ray, so cute and very Sam). And Jewels and Dean, just amazing!

Girl,

I must fess up, I'm a lurker and a freeloader!  I've been reading "Daddy's" religiously but not a review to be written!  I truly am enjoying the story.  Your faithful writing of the character's personalities are so true to the show.  The relationship between Dean and Jewels just slays me, the thoughts that John has of himself as a man, to be loved, to be wanted breaks my heart, but the words that truly touched me were those relating to Dean's looking up at the Cross on the alter and praying for his Dad.

Truly enjoy your talents as an author,

Pook

Author's Response:

Hey Pook!

So glad you stopped by and thanks for the kind review. Sometimes I think my erotic thoughts and my potty mouth keep people from admitting they read my stuff. So glad you’re enjoying this one. Hope to have it finished up in the next little while, then it’s off to post one about Sam and a truly “wicked” witch. Take care and thanks again.

Wayward Author

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 09/09/08 11:48 PM · On: Chapter 19

What a homecoming, a desperate time, but they're acting like a unit, a family and I just can't get enough of these amazing people; John and the boys would so need someone like Jewels in their life - and you write them in a perfect way, can't wait for more! Hope John isn't infected, Dean would lose all his faith and he needs it to go on!

Author's Response:

I was always intrigued by Dean’s total lack of faith in Houses of the Holy. A belief he held onto until the very end when he realizes that there may be something to faith after all.  Jewels sees the lack of faith in him as a child and in herself as an adult who has seen hell on earth.  Maybe I can fix them for a while. Thanks for the incentive to carry on.

That blew me away, great!

Author's Response:

I've been remiss in keeping up with your comments. Again thank you soooo much.

And re the "season" witch, I think I might even have trouble liking her and she's mine.

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 05/09/08 04:32 AM · On: Chapter 17

Marvellous update, some Holy Night to remember! And Dean, doubting and scared but still longing, stunning portrayal!

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 03/09/08 04:47 AM · On: Chapter 16

Rare and sad insights of John and the boys (Sam asking "are you gonna be my new mommy" was heartbreaking, this sweet little boy); to see John's brokenness and Dean's lifelong fight to cope and protect his family, mainly his Sam, it's stunning to read and I just can't thank you enough for sharing with us!

After this wonderful talk Jewels had with Dean, I now completely fell in love with this unbelievable little guy, what a great great scene, this kid, amazing - loving, cheerful, sad, brave, funny and so much more!
