Bravo! What a beautiful little piece. I love how you brought Sam around from having lost all hope to having that tiny flicker rekindled once more. Nicely done.

Finally found it back! LOST YOU FOR A MINUTE. Great, excellent, maginificent, story. Made me melancholic and surprising hopeful all at the same time. And I'm glad the Sammy had proof that it wasn't just his mind playing tricks and that Dean gave him hope.

Yes, we do - even those of us who think we're strong or have it all under control. We all need hope - we all need something to hang onto. That was really well done, Jacq. Sam fighting his own internal battle while struggling against the river was really powerful imagery. It was like the internal was reflected in the physical, with Sam caught in the maelstrom inside and out. I love the fact that the little boys's name was Dean, making Sam fight that much harder to save him. And that little reveal at the end - the mystery man - that made my eyes sting. Must be dust around here somewhere......*surreptitiously wipes eyes*... Jules

That was too beautiful for words! I was caught off guard and winded by all Sam's emotion in that rescue and when the father mentioned a guy standing next to him. OMG! I'm a little tearful, thanks so much for sharing this!!! Great job!

thank you for this.........we do all need hope. Just what we all need before the beginning of season 4. Simple and yet profound-you touched all the emotions Sam was feeling -OUTSTANDING job!!!!! It brought tears for Sam's sadness. AWESOME writing!!!! BRAVO!!!!!
