Author's Response: So far, I have 22 chapters posted and have a few more to go. The first chapter is a bit of a teaser. The next few chapters explains what happened before the car scene in chapter 1.

Author's Response: The guys are known for doing their homework, before a hunt. So, I wanted to show that Dean is still capable of doing that, despite his deafness. However, it looks as though Dean's confidence hasn't really returned yet. Interesting chapter, why do I suddenly get the eerie feeling that Nerisa may be somehow responsible for the disappearances? This whole "weekend at the beach" has got alarm bells going off in my head non-stop.

This Nerisa seems to have quite a hold over Sam, I mean getting him to cut off his brother's only way of contacting him, major thing. Enjoying this, interested to see what's going to happen. Author's Response: You're right. There wasn't much excitement, in this chapter. I know that most of the story, thus far, has focused on Dean's deafness. I feel really sorry for Dean in this chapter, the beach in winter is one of my fav places but its the sounds of the ocean that makes it. Really enjoying this, looking forward to the next update. Cheers MAry x
Author's Response: Thank you for taking the time to leave stars and a comment! *bg* I think most people easily recall being at a beach and hearing the waves lap onto shore, that's why I wanted to point out how much Dean is missing out on and how aware he is of what he is missing. I'll probably be adding another chapter either on Monday or Tuesday. I will admit that reviews inspire my muse to encourage me to add chapters on a regular basis. LOL.

I really am trying to show what one may feel, should some one suddenly and unexpectedly lose their hearing. I'm glad that you noticed the shift in who is in charge. As Dean struggles to regain control of his body, which he lost when he lost his hearing, I think it would make sense for him to allow Sam to take over for a while.
