Wow, really interesting take, Sue, on what might've been going through Sam's mind just then. I never would've thought flashback to the shape-shifter, but it makes sense. Great idea!

I had to giggle a little though, cuz everytime I saw "SkinDean" I couldn't help but think of the Skins on Roswell. LOL

Happy Birthday!! :)

wow u were really just trying to disguise it as a play by play of 1.6 Skin weren't you?

K

Author's Response:

Hi K,

Busted. I thought it'd be kind of neat and different to do a flashback to something that we know actually happened. Plus, the fight scene in Skin is awesome, and describing it was a challenge. All I did was add my own interpretation to it. Sam knew Dean was struggling with Dad's death, but I don't think he saw his brother as dangerously out of control until then.    Sue

That was very good.

Author's Response: Thank you, glad you liked this little missing scene.    Sue

Ooohh, nice missing scene.  I can totally believe this was what Sam was thinking when he looked at his brother.  Dean does have that scary look in his eyes.  Great job!

Author's Response:

Hi Vanessa,

Thanks! Actually, the scene that I flashed back to was when SkinDean opens up the trunk and sees all those lovely, lethal weapons, and his eyes are beyond scary, there. Sam wasn't there, then, but I figure Sam got plenty of time to see the same look when they were fighting.  Sue

Yes, the saying's true that one look can sometimes say volumes -- and that vampire beheading scene was one of the more intense of the series -- Nice little oneshot!

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review.

Yes, that vampire beheading scene was intense, and they made it obvious that it upset Sam. They ended with the musical thud! on Sam's face before cutting to the commercial, so it's clear Sam's thinking. I tried to put myself in Sam's shoes and this is what I came up with.   Sue
