Reviews For Gower's Blessing

Awwwww, I love this!  Helpless, proud, broken down Dean; angry, attacking, understanding, caring Sam; absent John; and the loving, comforting, protective Impala.  All the classics!  It took me through the gamut of emotions and just like the show I found my loyalties and bitterness switching with each perspective I was shown.

Emil Gower was a perfect addition.  Such a sweet wise old man and he obviously had a background similar to the boys' when he was alive.  I like that you alluded to his earthly life enough for us to see the similarities and spark our curiosity about him.

I settled into the ending just like a pair of my favorite pajamas.  The boys were together again, taking care of each other and joking light-heartedly through the serious stuff.

Another masterpiece to hang in the birdie gallery!

Hey my friend.

It's a Wonderful Life is one of my 'must watch at Christmas' movies and it always touches my heart.

Mr Gower is the pharmacist in the movie and he is care worn and sad but is ultimately a good and kind man. Parallels with  Dean are easily drawn and I wanted Dean to understand that without him the world would be a less wonderful place.

Thanks for reading and for those very kind words. You made my day. :0)

It's a lovely story. i think maybe Sam didn't really not want Dean out of his life, but it's just the frustration talking? but i'm not sure if Sam will still be a geek though. maybe John would have toughen him up?

But still, a very lovely story. :p

Walrus love noises - love it! Although a little gross, I loved it - gross as in  Dean coughing up chunks of lung. And boy, do I know how that feels.....

My heart broke for the scared, bullied little boy that Sam would have been if it hadn't been for Dean. I'm glad Emil showed him what life would have been like. Sam's so headstrong, just like his father, but thankfully with enough of his mother's soft heart to temper it - along with a hefty dose of big brother's influence. He just needs to be reminded every now and again how much he and his brother really do need each other.

Oh, and have to mention - that line at the start when Dean was leaning on the car and thinking that he just wanted Sam - touching, sweet, and so true.

Love the fact that Emil appeared to both of them - showing Sam how much of a positive influence that Dean has been in shaping him into the man he's become, and nursing Dean until Sam got there to take over. Wonderful stuff, and just what I needed today.

boy you are such a cool reviewer! I really wanted to catch the       bratty-ness of Sam in series one and to show him how lucky he is in having a brother who would do anything for him.

It breaks my heart how much Dean will give up for Sam, how he thinks he's not as valuable as his brother.

And Emil Gower is a sweet and wonderful man. Thanks for your review, you have made my day.
