Great job of capturing the grief and guilt perfectly in both situations. They both feel so unworthy of the other's love, so useless. And I love the way you end it, leaving it up to the reader's interpretation. This one will rip your heart out, stomp on it, then shove it back in to stay lodged in your throat. I am glad you decided to post it.

I've said it before and I will tell you again: I am so glad you shared this with everyone because it was something that needed to be told. I'm very familiar with that song and it's one that stays in my head every time I hear it.
You did an awesomely fantastic job with this and I'm not just saying that. You know me too well to know I would do that.
