What is exactly is Sam thinking giving the librarian his room number? And considering that the librarian showed up right after he collapsed. Something suspicious is going on around here & it's not just those eerie green eyes that Sammy keeps seeing.

Great chapter, keep it up!

Author's Response: Thanks for your review, I'm glad you like it. You will have to read on, wouldn't be fun to tell you what's going on. Hugs, Vonnie

Wow....tooo good. I love Jim's memory back in the church with Little Sammy....really cute!!! Just keep my fingers crossed for every chapter for sam to get alright!!!! A wonderful chapter..... Keep it going.

Pranami :)

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm so glad you like it. I kinda thought the story with naked toddler Sam was cute myself. I could just see that happen. I promise, no death fictions, so if you hand in there, Sam will be alright. Hugs, Vonnie

Amazing how you're holding such a high quality, just grand! Dean holding on to Sam's hand as a lifeline, never leaving his side and the lovely childhood memory, so special, really love your brother scenes so much!

Rebekah's appearance was a powerful and scary one; it certainly did mean something that Dean wasn't injured by one piece of glass (Sam is somehow protecting his brother I suppose and how wonderful is this), just hope this will give Dean now a starting point to defeat her, Sam's bleeding very clearly revealing time is running out.

Author's Response: Thanks for another wonderful review, I won't tell you why Dean didn't get injured, but let's just say, it has nothing to do with Sam protecting Dean, sorry. Dean will still be the one who will make it possible to defeat her. Hugs, Vonnie

wow..... I was really impressed by John talking to Sam. It was really touching. Is sam really dying. Oh please let him be well. Good chapter btw. The storyline is just going perfectly well. An AWESOME job!!!

Pranami :)

N.B. Like the latin too. Is it an original one? Maybe I'll have to remember it too (just in case) hehehe

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it so well. I usually don't do death fictions. About the Latin, that is a translation from the internet. The English version is an actual protection prayer against evil spirits, that the Roman Catholic Church uses. I bet there is an actual Latin translation for it, but I couldn't find it.  Hugs, Vonnie

Marvellous chapter!

Desperate times - Sam's list of injuries just overwhelming (and I'm still scared) and the protection ritual only offering a slight ease. You again had such beautiful special lines and images here, making this exceptional bond between Sam and Dean visible, stunning!

"There was no doubt, that Sam had a power of Dean that reached beyond anything John had ever seen before" - with Dean now feeling his brother giving up, fading, this sure would break him and John would in that case lose "two sons instead of one"; if only Dean could reach Sam somehow to make him fight, they both desperately need this connection!

Can't wait for the next chapter!!

Author's Response: Thanks for another beautiful review. You are my most faithful reviewer. I love what you write. I will try to have more up this weekend. Hugs, Vonnie

you are a master at creating suspense....I'm sitting tense and rigid in my chair as I read this.AWESOME writing!!!

Leave it to Jim to have a protection spell to keep that b.... away from Sam.

the emotions just leap off the page-your vivid verbage  totally snags your readers into this nightmare.OUTSTANDING job!!!!!!

John will lose 2 sons if anything happens to Sam.... the hurt is just pounding at us from evey line.

You are a master storyteller!!!

MORE PLEASE!!

 BRAVO!!!!

Oh wow, this felt like walking through a nightmare and it's getting worse and worse! Sam's condition this critical and Dean and his father in such despair (John's retrospect another highlight here), this felt so real, very frightening. Rarely saw Dean this helpless, crying (!) and begging "don't leave me Sammy, please, don't leave me", this scared me; Rebekah nearly won, Dean has to be strong to save his brother. Could you please confirm this is definitely not a death-fic to calm me, please!!!

Author's Response:

Okay, so I'm going to be nice and tell you, actually promise you, this is not a death fic.

Thanks for sticking with me. I appreciate every word you write. Hugs, Vonnie

Once more I'm on the edge of my seat, John and Dean just have to reach Sam in time! These are truly desperate times! Breathless suspense in this chapter, Dean's strain and fear for his brother always perceptible. And I agree one-hundred per cent that one of Sam's most charming and captivating attributes is his "childlike innocence" (lovely comment!). A glimpse of hope - and my favorite scene here - was Sam leaning into Dean's touch, so there still is the real Sam underneath this spell! Loved it!!

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you agree with me on Sam's attributes. I always liked that about him. You better move away from the edge of your seat, you might fall off. I would hate to see you get hurt. Hugs, Vonnie

Outstanding chapter!!! This was such a lovely, special moment John remembering the boys connecting for life when they were little ("...this had been an omen...of the older brother's future role in the little one's life. A role that continued through today and would until one or the other, or maybe both seized to exist." YES!!!), a treasured memory to start with and the contrast to the current dread couldn't be more apparent. I got goose bumps reading this, how do you do this?

You found the perfect words to show how lost Dean is without his brother and how much he needs him ("Sam was too close to his heart to ever really be off his mind" - what a beautiful line and so true), aching to see Sam's condition (and I hope he never learns how much he hurt his brother, this really would be hard for Sam to bear!).

The little bathroom scene touched me so, Dean so eager to care for his brother and spare him - even in his current state - any avoidable embarrasment (loved "Daddy Dean"); don't think Dean could make it trough this without his dad this time, Same acting like he hates his brother tears Dean apart, this touches the centre of his being. Fantastic writing!

Sorry the review is this long, but the chapter is sooo good, I just couldn't stop!

Author's Response: Wow, you have me blushing here. You are so sweet and I love your comments. This is what makes me want to write, when I see that someone is touched by my words. Hope I can continue to live up to your expectations and don't worry, your review is not too long. Hugs, Vonnie

Reviewer: bia1007 (Signed) · Date: 04/08/08 02:17 PM · On: Chapter 7

OMG, yes this one was even tougher, to see Sam nearly completely under Rebekah's control and hurting his brother with his words so much (how terrible Sam will feel about this when he ever finds out), that's hard to bear! And Dean so helpless and frightened he started to cry, he must be scared to death. At least his dad is there to help now (and I love the way you write John, it shows he cares a great deal for his boys after all) and together they just have to find a way to save Sam. Haunting scenes and another great chapter!!

Und Du kommst also aus Bayern, das ist wirklich eine wunderschöne Gegend mit sehr netten Leuten! Ich selbst bin aus Mannheim in Baden-Württemberg. Liebe Grüße, Sabine

Author's Response:

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. This is not going to get easier any time soon.

Mannheim, ich bin mit einem Madchen von Mannheim in die Schule gegangen. Bin aber nie dort gewesen. Baden-Wurttemberg is auch sehr schoen. Und Dein Englisch ist wirklich gut. Alles Liebe, Vonnie

Again, great chapter.  I feel so bad for poor Dean having to watch his baby brother go through this.

I am go happy to see their dad come in and help the boys.  Ihope that he will be able to help out a lot.

You have a great talent!!!!!

I am anxiously awaiting the next chapter.  Can't wait to see what happens next.

They can't run from this one, very bad and tight situation. Dean calling his dad, wow, that shows how distraught he feels. I'm all the way scared with Dean cause I have no clue how they can fight this and Sam is in such bad shape, it's frightening, a superb update! Und - liebe Grüße aus der alten Heimat! Sabine

Author's Response: Thanks, it is going to get even tougher. Glad you like it. Liebe Grusse zuruck! Ich bin von Bayern/Mittelfranken, wo lebst Du? Hugs, Vonnie

What a scary chapter, Dean so close to lose his little brother (heartbreaking to see how desperate Dean was and every ineffective shock made him "die a little bit more") and Sam already so much under Rebekah's spell, a race against time! Both need all the strength they have to fight this together and to bring Sam back since the situation is aggravating to an uncontrollable extent with Sam not even able to remember anything, breathtaking good! Could actually feel the pressure Dean is under, great description!!

And a question, are you from Germany by any chance? Well, I am, just curious.

Author's Response:

Thanks, I'm glad I could relay the pressure Dean was under well enough. The situation is getting desperate.

To your question, yes, I am from Germany, have been living in the US for 19 years now.Hugs, Vonnie

Another terrific chapter, the situation now nothing but desperate! What a frightening scene, Dean fighting for Sam's life (and to make it worse, he still doesn't know what Rebekah did to his brother), this is so scary, could you please (!!) update soon!

You are building up a lot of suspense in this chapter, loved it! Rebekah obviously affected Sam in a serious and dangerous way and I'm just glad Dean is aware that something is wrong and is by his brother's side; as always you had such wonderful lines showing how much these two care for each other ("Sam's trust in him never seized to amaze him. It was a gift, that he hoped he would never take for granted"/"...we can do this together"/"...making sure to protect (Sam) from bumping his head..., like a mother would for her child") and I so enjoyed their visit to the "Criminal History Museum", special moments there. A nasty turn at the end, I'm anxious to know what Rebekah wants with Sam and what Dean saw in his brother's eyes before Sam hit him. Great chapter!

Author's Response: Thanks, I love Dean's protective side and the way Sam trusts him. I've been to a museum like this in Germany and thought it would be something Dean would enjoy. Hugs, Vonnie
