Reviews For Graduation Day

Nice. It hadn't occured to me that Sam had not graduated undergrad yet when he was setting up his law school interview, but it's obvious in retrospect. Maybe he can finish his last few credits online, someday. Stanford would understand why he left, after Jessica. I think it would mean a lot to him. Dean really was the glue holding his family together, wasn't he? Hope he remembers how proud his Dad was of him, too.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! I hadn't really thought about it, either, then it struck me. And Sam would have it there, in his head, and what it would have meant! I'm sure Stanford would understand why he left! It would be nice to see him have the opportunity to return if he wanted too! And as always Dean was the glue.

Hugs, Muffy

...You made me cry...

I don't like you anymore.

:)

Author's Response:

Oh I'm so sorry! Don't hate me! *sends tissues* *sends chocolate*

Thank you so much for the review! Hugs, Muffy

This is a wonderful story. It shows how Dean is always looking out for Sammy. Family, in a nutshell.  Sue

Author's Response:

Oh thank you so much, Sue! That's what it's all about, isn't it? Family. That what it will alwys boil down to for me.

Thank you again!

Thank you for writing this for my sister, the time you put into it means a lot to our family.  Angela will enjoy this - our family's pretty close, so like most siblings we fight, but are always there when the chips are down.  Think maybe that's what she likes, both about these characters and this site.  Thank you again - Sam, Jake, and Nate

Author's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! The sense of family that the show--and this fandom--have is amazing. The outpouring of love, the care we have for each other is such and amzing thing! Please give Angela a hug from me, and tell her I have a candle burning. This fandom helped my so much when I was ill last year, I'm glad I can offer a little something back to one of the amzing people here! All my love, hugs, Muffy

Muffy.

It's a lovely story, i think the way Dean has been planning this lovely tribute to Sam for so long is so caring.

Nice, Muffy, very nice.  bev xx

Author's Response:

Thank you so much, Bev. This felt so natural. I think Dean would have kept the day close to his heart. It meant something to him too.

hugs,
MUffy

Very sweet Muffy, I love any story that makes a mention of the A-team...lol ;) Kel

Author's Response:

Oh thank you so much, Kel. I figured Dean would be a fan and that would be a line he loved. :D Seemed like a Dean thing. Thank you again!

This was just beautiful.

Dean showing his chick flick nature- the presents , the card, just perfect.

Sam's reaction to Dean- that he remembered - that Dean was proud of him- just gallons of brotherly love-Winchester style-AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Thank you for a GREAT story.

BRAVO!!!!!!!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much. I think Dean has a chick flick nature he likes to hide. I know he pretends to be the no-chick flick guy, but think about the show--he has his moments (Don't tell him though) Thanks again!

I loved that story.

It was beautiful and very sweet.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked this. Those small moments between the boys are so few and far between. I love them, though.

That was just excellent.  I love the fact that Dean remembered.  Sam thought he was all alone in his thoughts about his 'almost graduation' day, but alas, Dean is always the big brother.  Always putting Sammy first.  Love it.

Author's Response:

Oh thank you so much! Dean remembering felt so right, as did Sam's feeling of isolation. WE all keep track of special days, som remembered by others some not. This felt lkike the two of them. And for Dean, as you say, Sam is always first. Thank you again!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! I love those moments too! We need more of them, I think, the small hopeful things the show and fic can offer. Thank you again!

This was so very good,  You certainly captured that sense of family and I love it.  I can easily picture Dean doing this.  Thanks for sharing this heartwarming tale.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! Sometimes in the midst of all the supernatural evil it's good to return to the core of the show. Family. It's the heart of the show and why we love it! Thank you again.

Muffy, that was beautiful, I had tears welling in my eyes all over the place.  '"You remembered," the smallest whisper, as if Dean hadn't spoken.'  Just so incredibly poignant.

Dean willingly staging a chick-flick event, for what he knew would be a heartbreaking time for Sam was wonderful.  Especially as Sam could see that the items had been carried around for a long time, for what should have been his real graduation.  Letting him know he had his brothers' support all along would mean so much.

Deans' nervousness and lack of confidence in showing his pride in, and love for his brother is so touching, an indication of the stilted emotional release he has encountered all his life.

I love your flashbacks - they show  perfectly how  poor Dean has always been the unacknowledged peace maker.

"Stop defending him Dean. Why don't you try standing up for me sometime?"

That was unfair. "Sammy..."

"It's Sam now, Dean. Goodbye." And that was the last time he spoke to his brother before he went and got him two years later.

was particularly harsh, talk about don't shoot the messenger!  I loved it. Thank you.  Jane

Author's Response:

Oh thank you so much, Jane! Those boys, as you know, are so frustrating. They both love each other, take pride in the other's accomplishments, but the Winchester code often gets in the way. It felt natural for Dean to have kept track of the date, to hold on to gifts for his brother. No matter what, for Dean Sam (and family) always come first. Than k you so much!

'I love it when a plan comes together'! How ace is that? I was laughing so loudly my flatmate's just banged on my door to make sure I'm ok. Then she went 'Hannibal! Cool!' and went back to bed, LOL

Seriously, this was really fab - and very well done.

Loved it, and I'm sure it'll do a lot for Angela.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! I love that quote, it felt right for Dean too. Sorry I disturbed your flatmates sleep LOL. Thank you again so much!
