What a sad image you painted with words.  I could picture it in my mind, and it made me tear up.

Oh my god this was flipping tragically sad!  And probably exactly the kind of thing that actually happened.  I know that John loved Dean (he went to Hell for him, after all), but he'd have to have been awfully distant with him for Dean to look in the mirror and hate his own reflection.

Seriously well done.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your thoughts....I'm excited to submit the '2nd chapter' (so to speak) of 'Tired Tears'. It's written in final draft and I'm looking forward to what readers will think after witnessing John's POV of this moment in time. Take care and have a truly HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well, John really is a jerk here. Poor Dean. I wanted to cry for him. Great insight to their past.

Author's Response: Moira4eku:Hi! thank you for your response. I'm hoping to get the "second" one-shot up soon (maybe Christmas Vacation??) It will be from John's POV and I'd love to hear what you think after reading that!!Take care!Writer2b

This was truly beautiful.

You captured little Dean's feelings of being the forgotten child. His observations and longing for some real attention was gut wrentching>AWESOME writing!!!

you have an interesting style and it lends very well to getting the true feelings that Dean is experiencing.OUTSTANDING job!!!!

Tired tears... the story of Dean's life-excellent  work.

BRAVO!!!!!

Author's Response: Hi ReccaF :)Your words mean SO MUCH to me...thank you, thank you!!I am in the middle of writing the "Tired Tears" oneshot from John's POV and am hopeful that I'll have it sent in by this weekend. Receiving your review has been TRULY inspirational!!From a very appreciative 'Writer2b' in Oregon...Take care!

Wow.what a brilliant first fic.

Poor little Dean,i know John loves his boys but sometimes he needs a good shake.

When i read stories like this i so wish i could write, but i can't, never mind. Lol.

Author's Response:

Hi darkhunter :)

ENGLAND! WOW! I had so much fun reading your review!

I agree, John does need a good shake. I'm in the middle of writing the same scene from John's POV. It should be up within the week and I would love to hear what you think.

From one 40 something mama, with two kids (18 & 20), married 22 years, and living in Oregon...to a fabulous reader (who I bet really CAN write...yes, that's encouragement!) on the 'other side of the pond'...THANK YOU and take care ~

awww poor Dean! :'(   nice first fic!

Author's Response:

Hi Supernatgrl13 :)

Thank you so much for your review! As I said in one of my earlier responses, I can truly appreciate how much any kind of feedback means to the author now that I've 'thrown my hat in the ring' (as the saying goes...) with that, I want to tell you how much I have appreciated your "therapy session" stories. FANTASTIC job :) It felt like a bit of a relief for both Sam and Dean to have a chance to get a bit of the heaviness off their shoulders,  for once. Keep up the great work and I promise to send reviews in the future! Take care ~ from an Oregon Fan!

Congratulations on your first submission!  It is incredible!  I felt so sorry for little Dean that I wanted to gather him in my arms and whisper to him.  Then kick John in the ass.

Dean's thoughts of what normal would be were so clear.  You expressed his fear and uncertainty and rejection so eloquently it broke my heart.

Author's Response:

Shannondoah:

I have enjoyed your writings so much over the past few months! I am honored that you've responded to my first submission :-)

Thank you so much! I am so appreciative of the feelings that you expressed - it was exactly what I was hoping for and what I felt myself when writing it.

After experiencing reviews such as yours, I have seen first hand how much the encouragement from readers can mean to the author. I promise to reciprocate - thank you again and take care ~ Writer2b

This is sad.....i have this aching in my heart when i read this.....this kinda fics always made me feel as though John is a bastard...although generally i always feel that John is flawed but he does love his sons, both of them...

Is there any chance you'll write about John's POV for this?

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for taking time to share your thoughts! I can't begin to tell you how much your perspective means to me.

I have played with the idea of how John would see the moments playing out. I always think that his character is really trying to do the right thing, while seeing everything black and white - but everything is just so gray.

Your words have encouraged me to take those thoughts further...I'm  going to give John's POV a shot over the next week and see what I can come up with. Wish me luck and THANK YOU again! (hope you had a happy 4th!)

It´s so sad. But is also an excellent description of Dean´s feelings and how he learned to follow orders and hide he´s emotions. I loved it.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for taking your time to review :-)

Your statement "learned to follow orders and hide his emotions" really means alot to me because it was exactly what I was trying to express; you just never know how other readers will see things once its written down on the page...it always seems to makes sense in your own head :-)

BTW - Sorry for the delay in responding. I'm a bit new at this but am hoping to get the hang of it.

Take care and THANK YOU again!

So sad!!!  Good job with your 1st story....I really liked it!

Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your encouragement! It means so much to hear what the readers think :-)

I've been enjoying other people's work on this site for over a year; and with this first submission, truly realize just how much the reader reviews mean to the writer.

With much appreciation for your kind words ~ Writer2b

Cricket ~

I can't even begin to tell you what your words meant to me when I first read your review...

I'm new at this and yours was one of the first reviews I received. Your perpective and the time you took to share those thoughts with me have re-energized and reminded me just how much fun writing truly is!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

Oh that is so sad. I want to gather little Dean up in my arms and give him a great big hug.

Your first submisssion huh? I hope there will be many more, 'cos this is good.

Author's Response:

Midge ~

Your review is the VERY FIRST that I have ever received! It is so precious to have the reader's perspective! (THANK YOU!)

I felt the same way writing it; that I wanted to 'save' little Dean from his 'reality' but just couldn't. :-(

I was hopeful the feeling of protectiveness would be felt by the reader and was absolutely tickled when you said that it had! I couldn't have asked for more :-)

I hope there will be more too! Wish me luck and take care!

With much appreciation ~ Writer2b
