First a sorry, I read you first two chapters but didn't get time to review them at the time. I like this story, it's different and I like the way it snakes along, its path changing slightly as it goes on. I also like the female characters, even the nutty police woman because they feel real. Wow! This story has some serious cool factor. Love the character of Laura - well love to hate her screwed up head... This bodes very, very badly for our boys. And is that a hint of demonic influence???? As if having a revenge crazy psycho-b**** on your ass isn't bad enough!!! She also has to hang with a bad crowd! Nice to see this story getting some serious reviews too!

Oh wow, the story behind this and Karen's desire for revenge, this is so good!!! Some desperate situation for the guys, very frightening ("But this time she didn't direct her prayers towards the heavens" - loved this!). Hope Sam is aware of the danger and will be able to protect Dean. Wonderful, more please!!

Yes, thought so, Beth Macy definitely is very cool, hope she will appear again in this story (she sure has a soft spot for Dean, but who wouldn't). Enjoyed their drive to the motel and as always I'm glad Bobby is involved, feels better when he's on his way to help the boys!

What a great start, the first chapter already leaves me totally breathless!! Thrilling one, the operation at the barn was some experience and I really liked Beth Macy, cool lady. You hit the mark when Sam said Dean needs him to look out for him, think they both need each other equally; and Sam's statement "...But I guess I'll go with him anyway" tells so much about this bond. Loved it and can't wait for this to continue!!!

Utterly fantastic opening chapter! As others have said, you shove us immediately into the thick of things. I cannot tell you how much I adored the field surgery. There's just something about Sam having to hold Dean down while Dean's being subjected to so much pain. Hmmm, I think I need to go read that again. Great story so far....

OMG, that was so intense! One second I'm laughing over the state of the can, next Dean's in a world of hurt! The drive across the state line was so frantic and any relief at finding the deserted barn was tempered by the knowledge that Dean is in big trouble. Dr Macy's arrival at the barn was really terrifying, from the being lured to a deserted barn point of view. I loved Dean's reaction to being treated by a vet - very inventive of Sammy! The bullet removal had me grimacing, I do love hurt Dean and Sam's being wonderfully protective, his description of why they are together was quite heart-wrenching. Absolutely thrilling opening chapter, I can't wait for more. Jane
