heh--just wanted to add that when I mentioned butting heads with social workers, it was in context of us (me and then husband) trying to foster/adopt a child.  Throughout the whole process, I found them to be quite deceptive and sly.

Found this story from Sams required reading list, and I have to admit I'm impressed. I've always figured Dean is much more intellegent than he lets on, and its nice to have a plausible explanation for why he hides it.

I'm looking forward to the rest of this story, and hope you are inspired enough to keep it coming quickly.

Nice...it's all very well thought out...and written...seriously I can totally see John asking Dean to dumb it down so he could pass under the radar...and the whole explanation is just very plausible...you gave this a lot of thought and I am enjoying it...moving on to the next chappy

You've got me good and hooked! i love this premise. I loved how you have John back together with his boys. Also, the flashbacks really work well to carry the storyline along. This line was fantastic: 

John was called to the school and he wondered if it was taught in teacher's college that if a child was disruptive, the first thing they were supposed to suggest was ADD.

Stories showcasing how smart Dean really is always get my support. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this one adder. thanks!
