Oh my God this story is amazing!!! I've sat up until 4 am to finish it, giggling in fits at parts, choking up at others. Heart-wrenching, sweet, touching, BRILLIANT!
The psychology of our little wounded alien Dean as a child is just... God, it's breath-taking.
I'm going to stop sputtering now. Instead I'll just beg and plead with you to give me MORE!!!

This is such a good story. Poor Dean--always under so much pressure from such a young age. I'll be honest and say I've never liked John, and he really did treat Dean like a servant. I can't watch Something Wicked without wanting to smack him for being so horrible to such a little boy! And to say "you bring it up again and I'll beat it out of you". Man. I guess John hasn't learned much even from hearing this story and with Dean as a full grown adult!
Anyway--sorry for my John-rant! This story is really good and so angsty--and Supernatural angst is my favorite thing! Thanks for posting. :)

Still enjoying this story. I like that Dean behaved and even excelled when he was in foster care and that it was Sam that was acting up. So not the norm.

Great Job! I liked how you went back and forth from pres. to past. Also, John's threat to still be able to put Dean over his knee =). From what I have heard you were right on with the CPS part of your story. (I work with kids who have had this happen to them). Nice Job! Hope for more soon.

Nice job! Dean's reluctance was perfect...and you were absolutely right about it being too abrupt to skip everything else...This story is progressing very naturally! The CPS part was very plausible.

This is a great story, I was almost in tears when they were taking Sam off Dean in the court.
I love the name Nickerson - all I could think of was 'Nick your sons' Sad but that is the way my mind works.
