Great chapter!!!!! Poor Dean is going out of his mind with worrying about Sammy. Poor Sammy is just terrified that this is not over with yet. I absolutely love Valkyrie, she is adorable. I just want to know one thing!!! Who the hell is this other guy!!!!! Did Abaddon have a brother or friend helping him??? Ok make that a few questions. Ha Ha Can't wait till the next chapter.
Author's Response: You'll find out about the other guy before it's all over, promise. I think what I love the most is people just love Valkyrie, who is inspired by my litte dog Rosie. Forgot to mention that I thought the first 3 paragraphs of the last chapter were really well written - tight, with good pace and a real punch. The first paragraph of this chapter is the same. Love the umbrella analogy! And Sam's analysis of Dean's protective qualities. "He doubted even their father would have crossed Dean when it came to Sam" Wonderful

Forgot to mention in the last chapter that I thought it was hilarious that Sam thought calling Dean a superhero was a demotion! Me too! Love this line: This guy was getting ballsy, really really ballsy. Dean was really really going to stop him. And the Watcher's observations are very moving. Well done!

Wow, still loving the flashbacks, they really add something to the story. And I know this is probably obvious, but did you pick the name Abaddon because it sounds like "A bad'un" or 'A bad one" ? A clever point, that he obviously can hear what his captives are saying in the basement. I know I was warned, and it's really not a complaint because I am enjoying this story so much and I think you are setting it up brilliantly, but the violence was nearly too graphic for me in this chapter. Just my personal taste - maybe it's because it was the eyes!

I generally don't get so graphic, but since this is horror, ya know I felt obligated to go for the ick.....lol I chose the body parts used because I've seen surgeries related to eyes and such, so could do the description justice. Abaddon actually means something like reign of fire, or fire lord, or lord of fire, something like that. I picked it for the fire and the fact it was a cool looking name (bless the internet....lol) There is some ick in one or two more chapters, you can skip it and not miss anything of the story. Absolutely still with you! Loved the workings of Dean's mind in this chapter - there is just so much power in the love these brothers have for each other. And it's not shmoopy, (is that a word?) in any way, shape or form. Loved this line:(it won't let me copy and paste for some reason, but I love it enough to type it out!) They'd been separated a freaking half hour and Sam finds a serial killer. Now wasn't that just perfect? LOL

Awesome chapter. I love the flashbacks, you handle them very well and they fit smoothly into the action. And I forgot to mention earlier that I like the "Watcher". That's an interesting way to add commentary about the brothers relationship, without just coming right out and saying it! Well done.

I loved the whole scene in the car yard - Sam planting himself in front of Dean at every opportunity to make up for abandoning him in the past. It's about time Sam!!!! And showing both of their points of view about the argument they had really demonstrates the strength of their relationship. Great work!

It's the second man! That's what Sam forgot! There were two of them in the house. Oh, flip! This has gone from intense to downright terrifying. Poor Sam! He's got a long way to go - and the rug has just been pulled out from under him by those photos.
