WONDERFUL! You've really captured those final moments here. The emotional impact of these brilliantly penned lines hits hard and brings me immediately back to that scene. That's quite an accomplishment for only eleven lines. -Brandi-
Author's Response: Thank you very much, PyroChilde. I'm glad you enjoyed this piece. Heh--in certain circles I'm nicknamed the "Queen of Short Verse" but I do seem to have a talent for writing short stuff. lol

Author's Response: THANK YOU! I'm so happy to hear you liked this poem. I find that the boys and Supernatural inspire some of my best works.

Wow! What a beautiful piece! I love the phrase "bottomless depths of a steadfast warrior's once hopeful soul". It's amazing and emotion-provoking---depressing, yet still hopeful.
Author's Response: Thank you very much, Shannon, for the lovely compliment on this piece. I really appreciate the kind words.

AMAZING PIECE!!!! Reminds me a lot of Christine Busta's poems, she's an austrian poet and I highly admire her work, so I enjoyed this here very much (like the poems you place in front of your chapters).
Author's Response: Thank you very much, bia1007. I'm so happy to hear that you like my poems. I think I always breath a sigh of relief when I hear that from someone.

Oh God, Ness, your words strike me again. This is my third reading of this incredible poem, and each time I feel the emotion rise up and choke me. Those amazing eyes reflect such depth in death as they do in life (thank God for Jensen) As I said about Rae’s work, the saying “Eyes are the Windows to the Soul” was written for Dean Winchester, and now through those windows we see his soul in Hell. But more we feel his suffering - the horror, shock, pain and despair. Your poem captures this depth with heartfelt precision. It is painful to read. Yet again, I am in awe of your talent. Louy has once again outdone herself, creating the perfect visual to enhance your written word.
Author's Response: Indeed she did. I loved the poem when I finished it, but the banner(s) that go with it just make it way more special to me. So I can't thank her enough. Nor can I thank you enough for your kind words and encouragement toward my work.

Author's Response: Thank you very, very much!! I always smile when I get a nice review from you. I'm so happy you enjoyed this little piece.

Geez, Vanessa. I knew why I didn't dare read your poem sooner. It captures my own feelings so well. Resonates in my soul like Dean's desperate anguished scream. I knew you'd bring me to tears. Hate you, love you! Wanna have him back! Somebody, PLEASE, get him outta there! Ilka/RoweenaC
Author's Response: Ilka, what a delightful review! I particularly liked the "Hate you, love you!" ***grin*** I've heard before that my poetry can result in those kinds of feelings and sometimes in tears. Yes, I desperately want our oldest Winchester boy back too.

Kudos to you for posting this. I think poetry is even more revealing of the author than writing; it's all about word choices. 'Bottomless depths of a steadfast warrior's once hopeful soul' - so much meaning crammed into 9 short words. And don't you find it interesting that Dean is screaming "Sam!" , not "Sammy"? Awesome! Sue
Author's Response: Sue, thank you so very much for leaving me such a kind review on this piece. Yes, poetry is such a personal, soul-revealing art. Putting it out there for public view can sometimes (most of the time?) be very daunting. I hadn't picked up on the fact that he screams "Sam" and not "Sammy". Now that you mentioned it, it IS quite interesting. And telling.

Vanessa... As I have already told you, this was incredibly moving. Not only do I think so, but my son (who is the real poet in the family, and I mean that seriously) and his fiancee also thought the same! Wonderfully done and I honestly don't know why you were so hesitant at posting it. You are, as I have already stated, an inspiration.
Author's Response: Thank you again, Helen, for your kind words. Wow--your son and his fiancee liked it too? That makes me smile as well. I so appreciate your support and encouragement.

That scene does haunt doesn't it. Very poignant verse. Thank you
Author's Response: Thank you so very much, mtee. I'm quite relieved to hear you liked it. I was nervous about posting another of my poems for fear of driving everyone loony from boredom or chronic eyerolling.
