It was so sad to see Sam's faith take such a battering, both during S3 and especially S4, when he finally met the angels and realised they could be just as bad as demons. And what a cruel twist of fate for the one who believed in God to be the one marked by demons?

My heart breaks for Sam and his lost faith.
