Awesome job!! Of course I was expecting it :) And such a gorgeous banner... *stares at it* Not sure if you've noticed but at least I know you haven't got a review from me for a long time. I'm gonna be a double reviewer too. I was reading your response to others reviews and your response to Cookie caught my attention: I have this thing about having banners on my stories... and I love Jensen's eyes and the way that they used that in the finale. Eyes... I have a fascination with eyes, they're beautiful... Jensen does absolutely have the most beautiful eyes. Quite mysterious and wonderful and just downright gorgeous. And as you guys said--windows to the soul. I too have paused many times to merely gaze at your banner and get lost in those green orbs.
Author's Response: Oh God yes! He does, doesn't he? I think it might have been an unconscious decision... a plot by the devil on my shoulder to trick people into seeing the eyes and then opening the poem :P He he! But his eyes... hypnotic... they leave me lost for words...

Truly amazing job. The fact that you were able to make me cry like I did on the season finale is a miracle in itself, I think you did a great job in seizing the intense emotion from the finale and displaying it in this well-done poem. :)

...and can I double review-dip and say OMG your banner!! Beautiful, perfect cos you sent us straight into Dean's Hell the same way Kripke did - with a punch. If ever a saying were true, "Eyes are the window to a persons soul" was written for Dean Winchester. Your awesome visual adds power to your awesome words.

Oh Rae! As that finale closed I sat shaken and teary, and here I am again. You have captured the shock, emotion and horror of those last few moments so well - what we saw, what Sam can only imagine. Vivid words to match that vivid image. I think your poem is an ideal place to start our pondering cos it is a real representation of what we saw, what we are still trying to get our heads around. Fanatastic job. Move over, I need to come and sit and rock with you awhile...

I just break down into tears and as I'm typing this 'Fall to pieces' starts playing and the lyrics are... oh God. We'll make our way through this.. somehow. I was wrecked by the finale. I thought Kripke nailed the episode and didn't think anything could make me ache for the boys anymore than I already did, but you did it. What a frightening, terrible and haunting depiction of Dean's state (and I mean that in the most complimentary way). Wonderful writing!
