I love this story. It's one of my favorites. Looking forward to the next 3. Wish I could write this well.
Author's Response: Thanks! Actually there are two more chapters, a total of twenty. I hope you enjoy them too. Take care, B.J.

HI BJ Another great chapter, I love how you write Bobby and Dean together. And I think I've finally learned how you get inside Dean's head so well....those little chapter notes. I'll tell you what I'd tell him.. no doubts, no fears only belief and the knowledge that you are good at what you do..I love your stories, they take you in and involve you. I know from experience that sometimes it is hard to get in the grove and I also feel that finishing a story and being happy with the ending is a huge deal and one that I don't always manage myself...but I live with the knowledge that I tried my best and at the end of the day...that's all that matters. Can't wait for the update, this story is fabulous..kick those doubts into touch lady!! Now! Cheers Mary xx
Author's Response: Hi, Mary! I do love Bobby and Dean together, how close they are. Always good to hear others think I get inside Dean's head. I always feel more confident writing him, I think because Jensen makes him come alive for me. Thanks for all the support, over all the chapters and stories. I try to not be needy as far as reviews go and stay true to my own beliefs, but sometimes the doubts creep in. I'd rather have worries that I'm not good enough, than ever get arrogant... Don't think I ever have to worry about that one, tho. LOL I always feel the most pressure to have a good ending. My last chapter is always written before I get there, I have to know where I'm going and how I'm going to close out a story. Yep, at the end of the day all we can do is our best, and then try to do better the next time. Take care, B.J.

Stop whatever you are doing now. We need Ch18 - only kidding but awaiting next update and checking in all the time. Keep up the great writing BJ.
Author's Response: Hey, thanks! Sorry, I got bogged down with another writing project. I'll get back to Ch.18 real soon, promise! Take care, B.J.

Reunited with his baby. 'Bout time!
Author's Response: Yes, Dean is finally on the road to recovery and being behind the wheel of his baby is his first step. Another Winchester reunion! Yay! Later, B.J.

Yey!!! The Boys Are Back In Town! (Man, did I seriously just write that?) I'm very, very happy now. Winchester reunions are always the best.
Author's Response: I too love our Winchester reunions, almost makes all their pain worth it. Thanks for reading and reviewing, B.J.

God these two have got serious issues. They keep thinking everything that's happening to the other one is their fault. Honestly, I love them to bits but sometimes I just want to give them a slap and tell them to stop being stupid.
Author's Response: Oh, yes, the Winchester angst! But it all comes from love.

HI BJ Don't change a thing, if the rest of this story is as good as what already up then I can't wait to read it. Loved this chapter, the little Dean on Dean moment, broken Dean with Sammy (the 'can you see me?' and the 'Am I real?' comments made me want to reach into the screen and hug him too!) and then a little glimmer of the man we all know and love. Wonderful chapter in a wonderful story. Said it before but I'll say it again, I love your version of S4, have done from the very start. Thanks for this, cheers Mary xx
Author's Response: Thanks, Mary, you really are too kind. I love Kripke's S4 too, but I do love being able to examine Dean's issues on a deeper level. You pointed out all the things I loved about writing this chapter. I totally love little Dean talking to Dean, and the dream/nightmare was a gift since my psychologist friend actually had that dream of Jensen/Dean after reading my story before going to sleep. And after all he goes thru, I knew I had to start giving him back pieces of himself because Dean Winchester is never down for long. He has this amazing ability to persevere and conquer. Love your reviews. Thanks again, B.J.

Poor Dean, poor Sam. A broken family falling evermore into disrepair. A little depressing but true. Just please tell me that things get back to normal. Well, as normal as it gets for these three.
Author's Response: That's the thing with them, isn't it? Their normal is worse than any of us could imagine surviving, and yet they do. Somehow they keep going and yes, they will find their normal again. Dean will be back in the fight. Take care, B.J.

Phew!!! S4 hasn't started yet over here and it's good to know that there's hope for the brothers yet.
Author's Response: Oh, it is so hard to have to wait for S4, but yes... there is always hope for our brothers. Somehow they have managed to endure this long and they will not give up... ever. Thanks for reading and reviewing, B.J.

Oh God let Sam find him. I've got a feeling that you're gonna be responsible for a lot more of my tears first though. I liked how the doctors assumed he was a soldier, cause that's how we think of Dean really. Mind you - 'The war was finally over for this broken warrior' They got that wrong. It's only just beginning.
Author's Response: Dean is a soldier in a very tough and important war. While most would be out of the battle after half of what he's endured, Dean is so very strong and he will fight his way back. Love that man! Later, B.J.

Another brilliant chapter. Dean's, breakdown was heartbreaking. It was lovely that Dean drove the Impala
Author's Response: Thank you, much appreciated. I made a conscious decision that he needed to get behind the wheel and drive the Impala by the end of this chapter. His breakdown is heartbreaking, but driving again puts him on the road to recovery. Until next time, take care, B.J.

Hiya well it's 1.53am and I have just finished Ch17. Your version of Dean's return from hell has blown me away. The young Dean in the diner saying "how about you do it for me", Dean's initial reaction to not being able to drive his baby and the part where Sam wakes and finds his brother on the floor and what transpires - gut wrenching. Yes S4 is fabulous so far but this story is portraying so much of Dean's inner turmoil. As I read I could picture his facial expressions and mannerisms so well. An amazingly well written piece (...of pie...) of work. I look forward to the next chapter.
Author's Response: What a lovely review, thank you so much. It is a benefit of fanfics, we can spend the time examining his reactions and allowing him the time to work thru them. I so love using young Dean to talk to Dean, he needs to practice that self-care that he so rarely allows. And the car, so crucial to who Dean is and what a shock when he doesn't want to drive at first, for him and Sam. My good friend, Swan, who is such an inspiration actually had a similar dream concerning Jensen/Dean that she said came from early drafts of my story. I felt it perfect to incorporate it into the story. Kismet, I suppose. Again, thank you for such a wonderful review. Take care, B.J.

Terrific chapter, Dean is still so mixed up, are you ever going to fix him? Please update soon. Looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Hey, thanks again, Maureen, I was just discussing Dean's PTSD with my psychologist pal and she again mentioned that realistically, he would be suffering dramatic effects for a very long time of his time spent in Hell. Neither the show or I can do that justice, but I hope I am able to present a snapshot view of his recovery. He will be majorly on the road to recovery by the time the story ends. Three more chapters and I am just putting the finishing touches on them. Thanks again, B.J.

another awesome update..glad Dean finally decided to drive the Impala again..hopefully he is on the road to recovery. Can't wait to read more. Thanks for writing.
Author's Response: Thanks, again! Yes, I thought I at least had to get Dean behind the wheel of his baby. I do think he takes comfort in driving, something familiar and basically his only home. He is on the road to recovery, but it is long and winding, but he is definitely going to make it. Take care, B.J.

Great chapter, it's wonderful that the boys are together again. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this story.
Author's Response: Thanks again! It seemed like it took forever to get them together so I want to spend a little time having them readjust to Dean being back. Not to mention Dean still has a bunch of issues. Take care, B.J.

Great chapter, Dean's recovery continues, thanks for writing it, Please update soon. looking forward to the next chapter to see how Dean is coping.
Author's Response: Hey, Maureen, Thanks for reading and reviewing. Yeah, We'll give him a few more chapters to find himself. Take care, B.J.

That was great, the boy is back and all the boys are together again. Peachy!! You know much as I quite liked the way S4 started I would have absolutely loved to have seen it come back like this. I actually like your version better!! So there Mr Kripke. He might have the wonderful Jensen *sigh*(yep I'm a Dean girl!), Jared and Jim but he ain't got you BJ. Looking forward to the rest but not it ending 'cos this story is just wonderful. Stuck in work at the moment and this had brought some light to a dark day. Cheers 'til next time, Mary x
Author's Response: Hey, Mary, your review brought a huge smile to my face. Kripke has a million balls in his court and has to move the show along at a brisk pace to pack everything in. But he is so very fortunate to have this cast and his stable of writers creating their magic. That's what I love about fanfics, we can focus on that emotional hug and make it last however long we want! I'm rather liking this story too, not that I think I have that much to do with it, the story kinda writes itself, but I am also loving the direction of the show and can't wait to see what lies ahead for all our Winchesters. Later, B.J.

Take all the time you need in finishing this story. I've loved it so far..Awesome chapter ..nice that Dean finally recognized Bobby and Sam..Loved the hug that they shared..Please update as soon as you can. Thanks for writing.
Author's Response: Thanks so much. For some reason the muse has been working overtime and the chapters are coming fairly quickly. What a relief! LOL Thanks for reading and reviewing. Take care, B.J.

man, this is so screwed!!! perhaps Sam can take care of the creature while Bobby takes care of Dean? is the escape of the creature linked to Dean's fragile state?
Author's Response: Now, you know I can give anything away. Let's just say they will both take care of Dean, whatever that entails. Thanks again, B.J.
Reviewer: mymuseandi (Signed) · Date: 10/09/08 10:31 AM · On: Chapter 14 - Failure is Not an Option
Well, i thought that Sam would get through him, but i'm glad that Bobby is able to illicit a response from him. hopefully next chapter you would bring Dean and Sam closer together????? :p
Author's Response: Bobby is a great comfort and Sam will be, it is just taking longer than I thought. Dean is under tremendous pressures and the healing is slow. Thanks for reading and reviewing, B.J.

I don't know who to feel more sorry for, Dean, for going through such horror, or Sam, for being mistaken by a demon by Dean!
Author's Response: Both are suffering terribly, but comfort is coming for both too. Take care, B.J.
Reviewer: mymuseandi (Signed) · Date: 10/09/08 09:56 AM · On: Chapter 12 - Send in the Clowns
The doctors were unsure if they were seeking a blood brother or a comrade in arms, one amongst the brotherhood of soldiers. In any case, this Sammy, the one person who might be able to break through the silent wall the poor bastard had erected around his fragmented mind, couldn't be found. Perhaps never even existed, one more fantasy his mind created... only this time to offer hope. This paragraph reminds me so much of World War Two. i know, random, but i've read quite a bit about that war recently, and now, mention the word soldier or war and my mind is transported back that. Dean is a soldier, but i think many people don't think that maybe he has untold horrors that he has faced and that when he unravels it's just too horrible to swallow.
Author's Response: Actaully I intended for Dean to be compared to a soldier of war since I do think that best describes what they are facing and how he will suffer from PTSD. I think now, most compare him to an Iraq war verteran, but WWII works too. Band of Brothers probably played in my thinking too. Later, B.J.

another awesome update..You wrote this chapter beautifully. The moments where Dean is remembering his mom..heart breaking..What came back with Dean? Can't wait to find out..Thanks so much for writing.
Author's Response: Thanks! I love writing Dean as a child with his mom. Such love there and so tragic that he looks to that to retreat from the pain of his adult life. I hadn't planned on ending it with that little cliffhanger, but it was getting too complicated so I've added another chapter to do it properly. Later, B.J.

Another wonderful chapter. Dean with his mam was so beautiful. It must be torture for Sam to be so near to Dean and not be able to see him yet. Looking forward to more.
Author's Response: Thanks again! Yeah, poor Sam finally having Dean back but still being kept from him. I keep meaning to get them closer together, but the story dictates keeping them apart... for now. Take care, B.J.
Reviewer: Smudge93 (Signed) · Date: 04/09/08 02:08 PM · On: Chapter 15 - Angels Are Watching Over You
Oh wow! Love this story, the bit with Dean and his mum was beautiful and Bobby pulling little pieces of Dean back with each belonging brought tears to my eyes. But Poor Sam, still waiting for his time to come, as I know it will. Such a great story BJ can't wait for more, Mary xx
Author's Response: Thanks, Mary, This story is one I'm really enjoying writing. I love incorporating flashbacks of the Wee!chesters and with Dean's mind so fractured it is a great opportunity. I love Bobby and Dean scenes, and imagining the actors and how much they both bring to those scenes makes them even more special. Poor Sam is right! His time will come and the hugs are waiting. Thanks again for all the support, much appreciated. B.J.
