Tony’s eyes were trained on Sam; he was the unpredictable one, although he looked anything but dangerous now. He was leaning against the wall hugging his knees up under his chin, rocking slowly forwards and back and any thoughts of payback for the throat were left far behind as he looked at the spent young man, then to the burnt figure on the bed, and wondered which of these two boys needed a hospital more.   

Sam's lost it!! i hope Dean would get well soon, to fight whatever Lomax had in mind, and to snap Sam out of his shock!!!  it's depressing to see both boys so broken up and not connected with each other even though they are in the same room now!! *sigh*

Great chapter, I'm glad you spared all us Dean fans a gory death, the ending was so sad too, Please give us more.

hi bullet! sorry about the delay in my review! I really liked this chapter, you left me wanting more at the end! I don't know why but i loved the description of bobby swishing his whiskey around his gums... so detailed! i love it! I'm gonna read chapter 7 tonight so i'll review that tomorrow!

Louy. Oh. I wish I  had the time to leave a "normal" review. This was an awesome read. But as you know I am currently doing preps for my stay in GB. So I will only leave a few notes and comments.

Kent... Oh I love you for this. Kent is my favourite county. Glad Tony is from Kent. Made him even more inticing.

The triplets freaked me out! Girl, I gotta tell ya, I was eating some spring rolls (my favourite Chinese meal) when I got to those decaying, rotten, stinking demons. They kinda remind me of Norns (goddesses of fortune and fate), but in a crooked, twisted, evil way. Fascinating. Wanna hear more about them. Even if they made me stop practicing for the eating challenge at our next stay in the Hilton! Lol.

Cheers and I promise to leave a decent long review once I am back from Herne Bay and reading your next chapter.

Louy. I saved up reading your new chapter for a special moment. It is always such an emotional and fascinating way to spend my time. And you did it again, baby. I am awed. I am so glad that you got Bobby and Sam back in the story. I was literally barely holding it together when I thought about them having no clue about Dean's return. But now I am desperate to learn more about the collapsing House of Dream, Dean's current condition and the demonic Lomax's plan. So please do hurry with the next update!

....‘House of Dream’…the seat of power... we could go back to the House of Dream...       Wow. That whole mystic stuff is really intriguing. They definitely have to go back there to figure it all out. I bet there is still something to discover at that museum. Still love the whole Gaiman reference. I am so gonna save my money to buy the books.

...David Alexander, the Keeper of the House,....     Was wondering about David's role in the plot. Maybe he inherited the Keeper status after Burgess' death but he clearly doesn't know. And I bet the English bloke will eventually fill him in.

...watching the glint of light bleeding from the startlingly silver edge...      An example of your skills as an author Louy. Light bleeding. That is so evocative and poetic. Makes it perceptible not only with my mind's eye but tangible, I can see/hear/touch/taste this image. Awesome.

...The kid was hollow…like the Sam he’d known had been scooped out and thrown away and there was nothing left to fill those spaces. Bobby knew it in his bones; he could feel it, taste it, and he buried his empathy deep out of sight...    Aw. My heart bled for Sam here. And Bobby. He is such a sweet man, caring for and loving the boys like a real father. He tries to be there, to be strong and all the time worries for Sam and Dean. God. This tore at my soul and still does while writing this review.

...There was no Sam behind those moves; there was no Sam at all anymore. Sam had gone to his own personal hell at the same time as his brother...    NO! Sammy. Don't give up. Aw, this is breaking my heart. But I wonder how they'll do it on the show. Really, I think Sam will have a damn hard time coping with Dean's death. Knowing that he can't help Dean, can't free him. That Dean has to suffer while he himself lives, lives because of Dean's sacrifice.

...just a little help…that’s all….     Bobby's prayer. So simple, so straight, so true and from the heart. The little doubt lacing it turns it real and believable. A hunter's prayer.

...Sam's dream...House of Dream... Such dreamy ideas. Wonder when Dream enters the scene. Or has he already?

...Now he’d have to face the monster all by himself... Winchesters were the bravest...  Now I know why your chapter's banner shows Kid-Sam (girlie boy in banner, haha. Sorry couldn't stop myself. He just looks that girlish with his bangs and even more as a kid). I always enjoy reading about their childhood in a contemporary story. Those flashbacks explain so much, don't you think? Sweet Sammy kid here. Trying to be strong and face the monster beneath his bed.

...pulling the blanket high past his nose so only huge, round eyes peeped out…     Cute picture. Aren't the boys always adorable, kid or grown up? OK, not just adorable as grown ups. Downright edible when it comes to Dean. Drool bucket!

...A man, shrouded in shadow and impossible to make out, except for bright green eyes blinking under sable lashes...     DEAN! And the “sable lashes”. Never read that description before. Great idea. “Shrouded in shadows” gave me goosebumps, creepy and scary.

....The deluge was nightmarish, with silver sheets of water slicing from the heavens in a rage of nature...    I love your way of describing water. Always colours and feelings to accompany the mention of mere droplets or puddles. So creative.

A lot of this chapter, especially the dream sequences made me think of DALDOM. The way Bobby and Sam meet in a dream and Dean makes contact with them. I wonder if Dream has his hands in this. OK, I gotta spill it. I really think Dean has become some lower level Dream-reborn. Or something like that. How else could he enter Bobby's and Sam's dream. I am still pondering about the ritual in Fall of the House of Dream. So, I know it's a wild guess but I had to articulate it to just get it the hell out of my head. You don't have to comment on this. I might have made a total idjit outta myself...

DOUBLE EEK!

Not sure who to feel more sorry for, Dean, Sam or Bobby - cause you're putting 'em through the wringer now - givng them (and us, btw!) just enough hope to keep them going, snatching it away with the next deadline - seven seconds, seven minutes, seven hours, seven days... and seven lifetimes? (though that was from the last time we saw Bobby, it was ringing in my ears as I read this.)

Loved the dream sequence, the baby Sam still mad at Dean, the cryptic message - find him before there's nothing left to find.

It's enough to make me go hide in the corner gibbering for a while! Is the Dean with David really Dean? (and does that make any kind of sense?) Is he Dream? What the blue blazes is going on?!

And now we've got to wait while you're in Italy?... nasty... Hope you had a great time though!

Oh boy - what a chapter! They just keep gettin' better and better... 

Loved this line: Christ, was it his imagination or did Sam's tiny cracked voice sound like an orphaned child? 'Cause without Dean, he really is orphaned, and that childlike need for reassurance that can't be given is beautiful.

And: eyes huge, raw and searching... looking for Sammy? For anyone or anything? You write nameless fear so vividly it hits like a punch to the stomach... and then you give us the revelation of Dean's place in David's dreams... what next?!

(Oh, and i really loved And his boots, they were...melted, the soles and tread fused together in a solid lump of post-liquid plastic. It should almost be funny, the fixation and detail in his shoes, but it's just downright terrifying!)
