A great shame indeed. I really liked this! I have thought for a long time that it was sad that Dean doesn't see the power of goodness in the world. But even worse than that - he doesn't see the goodness in himself. After seeing Houses of the Holy I know why, but it's still sad, and you have expressed it wonderfully here. Thanks.
