LOL i love this story! you kept me guessing about John and his motives. and the whole choosing between Dean and Sam, that's just classic. i think that should be his worst nightmare.. Enjoyed this story very much!

I´m really happy that John didn´t hurt Dean. Very nice work lettng us think that John was after the kid´s. Very mean to make him choose between them. Great work I loved the story.

Author's Response: I think that's the one and only time I've ever written Bobby! I wrote this before AVSC so wasn't entirely sure the boys were supposed to have known him as kids! So hurray - I wasn't Kripked for that part!

Yeah! Bobby to the rescue, who else could pop that Genie back in the bottle just in the nick of time....lol. I've thoroughly enjoyed your story, loved the extra characters, I'm pleased Lia was okay in the end. The nighttime journey was genuinely creepy and had me really worried for our boys. Thank God the hairy moled van driver was just an illusion, cause he was horrible. He probably deserves a whole story just to himself!! I loved the way John gently eases the boys fears and brings them back to him, instinctively knowing what Dean's real concern was. Thanks for a very entertaining ride. Jane.
Author's Response: Yeah, I kinda felt sorry for Lia - as I do all of the "meat suits" in the show - I mean, the poor girl Ruby's possessing - what's her story? (Heh heh I feel a oneshot coming on!) The scary thing is, the blue van driver might have been an illusion, but people like that do exist. Demons I get, people are just crazy. Glad you enjoyed this!

I loved it! Yay! Bobby to the rescue! The whole mispercerception idea was brilliant! Especially once we found out that Dean got his bruise from actually falling in gym class. You were very sneaky though not revealing what John meant when he chose Dean. I know you said he was stalling for time, but to save or to sacrifice? Hmmm......?
Author's Response: I honestly don't know which way John would have gone if he had to make that choice - if he could even have chosen. I think he would have always found a way out! Glad the 'altering perception' thing worked for you!

OMG. John struck Dean in public - outside school of all places, and no-one took notice! How sad. This is so well written I'm scared for the boys and found myself muttering "Don't get in the car, don't get in the car" as I was reading. Off to read chapter 2 right now.

Riveting chapter. A demon claiming revenge for his son's death, now everything make sense. The scene when the demon wanted John to choose between which of his son'll live and die was so powerful. Who saved the boys, can't wait to know.

Wow, that was fantastic! Everything made perfect sense after I read the second sentence--a reaper of course! I also loved the parallels with IMTOD, the irony of it all *shakes head* John chasing the boys was really intense and kind of reminded me of "The Shining" when good ol' Jack was hunting down his kid. And then trying to force John to choose between his boys...guh. I really didn't want to know which fate he had singled Dean out for...although I could probably guess...
Author's Response: I still don't think John would ever be able to choose between his boys. I think the whole point of his sacrifice for Dean in IMTOD was because he figured Dean was the only one who would be able to save Sam, so ultimately he sacrificed himself for both of them. Knowing Dean might have to kill Sam some day? Well that could have had an influence on him too though...
