I was pleased when I saw this story listed amongst Sams required reading. It has always been one of my favourite tag/missing scene stories and so deserves recognition.
Sam's line "Those bastards hurt you." is so simple its brilliant and I love Sam feeling guilty about locking them in a cage rather than killing them. Its just so Sam.
Its a great story Ridley, please keep 'em coming.

As always a great story. Never disappointed. Good add on to the Bender story. I like how you ended it.

Enjoyed the fallout from the Benders - the way Dean still tries to rationalise his belief that Sammy warrants any measures to keep him safe, but the thought of Sammy thinking the same for him is unnatural somehow. Loved the brotherly banter and your insight and portrayal of their relationship;
"Dean watched his brother struggle with his monstrous humanity and felt both sorry for him and extremely proud of him."
I don't think that Sam is the only one with a case of brotherly hero-worship going on. Nice job.
