Oh. My. God. If it weren't almost 2 am I'd be rushing off to read the next part of this story because you have left me positively bawling with this one. I hope that dickhead Conners chokes to death on his own puke (probably not where you're going with this, but I can dream). I am in love with the brotherhood stories. I seriously need some kind of road map, though, to navigate my way through them!

I have just finished reading this story for the umpteenth time, and I have to say it's just as heartrending this time around as on the first read. I need tissues every time I even think about Sam being taken from Dean and Caleb. I also love the way you weave the dragon story to reflect the real life events. A mega well done on a fabulously written story.

I bawled like a baby through his whole chapter! I'm so glad I didn't start reading it until it was completely written and the sequel already begun. That would have been torture!!

Say, Sammy's got quite a mouth on him. He'd better watch out, the Winchester in him is showing. I am so enjoying your consistent reference to dragons and the hunters. The last line of this chapter was heartbreaking!

Ooh! Great bonding between John and Caleb. It's funny how different they are and yet so alike. That's another thing I like about your stories. Each of the young hunters has an older counterpart, and while they are like their parent they are also like their mentor.

Love the line from Dean about Caleb not kicking any bitch out of his bed. I nearly died laughing! This is an intriguing tale, especially the way you weave each separate piece througout. I can't wait to see how it all meshes in the end!!

I luuuuvv it when you put Caleb, Dean and Sam together! It's Dean's only real chance to have someone special that he doesn't feel responsible for. The dynamic between the three young hunters is wonderfully refreshing in their world.

this just gets better and better with each update!!!!!!! Caleb and Mac - more than a Kodak moment-lovingly painful as they can only share brief times to show real tenderness.AWESOME writing!!!!! John and his usual hardened attitude broke for a moment - his "3rd" son hurt finally showed on him!!! your vivid verbage wove a perfect chapter -heightened the suspense, angst, fear of Sammy going-a totally perfect and AWESOME package!!! I like Dr McCoy- she has the right attitude to handle all the boys!!! That Mary's father would allow his grandson to witness such violence against one of the boys friends speaks volumes about the man's sad lack of any character. That Caleb recognized the marking on his cuff links makes me wonder about who the monster really is in Caleb's visions...???????? Sorry this is so long , but I just really love this story!!!! BRAVO!!!!!! more please

Wonderful Chapter showing John in his role as Knight and mentor to Caleb. I love the way you have Mac's very human response to the influence another man exerts over his son. Liked the idea that John's "training" of Caleb in the early years was actually Winchester nannying Reeves!!! John and Caleb's relationship though macho on the surface is one of fierce loyalty. Love the banter between them here.

I Absolutely fell in Love with Caleb Reeves after this story - if only Kripke's Dean had the benefit of such an awesome stand-in sibling!!!! The cleaning the bathroom scene is a perfect example of some of your very best Weechester moments. The way you bind Sam, Dean and Caleb together is just magical. The thought of loosing Sam is such a horrible scenario hanging over all their heads - you outline their family dynamic so clearly in the first two chapters. The way Caleb finds himself slowly surrendering to it is both touching and hilarious - the way Mac and Jim hold in their Hallmark expressions at his interaction with sleepy Sammy - beautiful, and Dean's "Vegetable" comment is a classic. The age gap between Dean and Caleb is quite the chasm, but it is their shared past tragic experiences and their upbringing in the Brotherhood that sets the perfect setting for this bond to flourish.

Ridley, I have to confess I have read this in *the other place* - your awesome writing skills however ensure that I will be re-reading it and still be thoroughly entertained second time round. Love the gruff face Caleb tries to throw on - he fights his feelings for those adorable Winchester brats every step of the way - I guess that's why it's such an unshakable relationship in later life. My favorite is the way Dean gives as good as he gets after Caleb point's out Sam is not HIS brother ; "That's obvious," Dean snorted. "No horns. No tail. And he's not allowed to play with pitchforks." LOL!!! This is just such a heartwarming scene - Jim trying hard to keep order in a house full of warriors, no easy job!!!!

this is a great story. I love everything you write about the Brotherhood -Caleb, Mac, and all the others. You can feel the tension just floating in the air. Seems Mary's father has got them over the proverbial barrell. Yet, why do I think Caleb is going to upset things , the illegal way. ?????????? Maybe even take the boys with him..a little disappearing act ????? Can't wait for the next update-OUTSTANDING as always. you never disappoint. BRAVO!!!!!!
