ROFL Another good one, great job! The prank wars of the first part of the series were some of the best episodes. Great job, like I said!

*giggle, chortle, snort*

John has no idea what he's started.

That whole thing with John getting to the bottom of things and having to work backward was just hilarious. And the real kicker was getting to the very first prank and finding out it wasn't Sam or Dean, but John himself pranking his own sons - ROFL.

*wipes tears from eyes* Thank you for that - oh, and have you considered a follow-up - just so we can have a sneak peek at what the boys do to John? Or are such things best left to the imagination....

Thanks for a great read.

HAY LOU.  HOW YOU BEEN LOVELY. THIS STORY WAS DEFO COMEDY WELL YOU HAD ME IN FITS.   I LOVE HOW JOHN IS NORMALLY QUITE SERIOUS BUT YOU CAN TOTALLY BELIEVE THAT HE HAS THAT OTHA SIDE OF HIM SO I THINK YOU PORTRAYED IT REALLY WELL. NEWAY WELL DONE LOU. PS I THINK YOU SHOULD DO MORE COMEDY.  HOPE TO SPEAK SOON.   KD.X

Author's Response: KD Thanks so much for this awesome review...I'm gonna be concentrating on writing one multi chapter and one-shots from now on, so should be space for more comedy...I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the lovely stars mate, you rock! XX Louy

Ah, Louy, I swear I'm filled with warm fuzzies!  I'm slowly making my way thru the prank war stories and that truly was the most original story I've read yet, and one of the best.

I loved having John with the boys and how realistically you portrayed them.  I'd love a second chapter of them getting back at Dad.  It is sweet to think even the good-soldier Dean would take some pleasure in getting back at Dad.

I loved John's insights into both his sons, how protective Dean is and how he would never fight with Sam, and how Sam still looks at Dean with "hero worship" when Dean isn't looking.

This story is not only funny with the pranks, but heartwarming and that is always a winning combination.

Lovely, B.J.

Author's Response: Ah, BJ you've got me doing my 'happy dance'...lol What a great review, thank you so much and a sequel will be coming, I promised Schelz...so it's got to be done now...Thanks again my friend XX Louy

Loved it Louy!  I gotta say, somehow I knew it was John that put the salt in the sugar.  Great pranks they played on one another and I'd love to see put up a second chapter with the boys pulling a whopper on dear old dad!

Author's Response:

It's gonna happen Helen, lol. Sequel is under construction but we'll see if the boys can come up with something worthy...hehe. Somehow I think they might.

Thanks for the great review and stars and I think Tree picked the best story to win...absolutely fantastic...cant wait till you post on your page so I can review it properly. Well done mate!

LOL, I loved this the first time I read it and I love it even more now.  For some reason the idea of the computer keys just cracked me up, that added to the hair on Sam's pillow.  Thanks for the giggle, Louy, great job - Kel

Author's Response: Thanks Kel, I'm glad it made you smile...*grins* Payback for how much yours made me laugh out loud...XX Louy

Oh Lou, this is wonderful. The fallout from prank wars Winchester-style. John, all broody and angry, barking orders, the consequence of going to far, perfect.

This was awesome “he wanted them to feel the fear.” *Wow* After he left them stewing for two hours! So John, I loved it! No wonder Sam was seething in “teenage resentment” and “hard done by attitude.” - fitting descriptions by the way. And Dean wallowing in his Dad’s disappointment is punishment enough for this honourable young man. You left us in no doubt that John was prepared to wait it out, and his sons knew it. Loved how Dean stepped up to the plate to protect Sam and cos he knew his dad wasn’t fooling. Very Winchester all round.

This was stunning – “He’d brought up his boys carefully, crafted them to work together like cogs in a well oiled machine” And John’s observation that maybe Dean hadn’t fought back is very astute and believable, great stuff.

But let’s get to the pranks! What a domino effect of fantastic pranks! And boy do these brothers know how to push each others buttons! Big time! I laughed all the way! How clever were the pranks, all requiring meticulous planning and careful execution by astute trainee hunters! Loved how you wrote this backtracking, each time a prank was detailed it led to the reveal of the one before, complete with the boys reactions and emotions. Beautifully done.

The hair on the pillow was my fav – the whole idea and how you wrote it, just priceless!! Can just see Sam freaking out and Dean enjoying the show!

And the Zeppelin tee for God’s sake!! From you?!?! I know how close to your heart that one is Lou!?!? Oh cruel world!!! Betcha needed a drink to get over writing that!! Talk about channelling!

Gotta say, Sam was pretty daring – and brave – with the Impala stunt. I have to admit to nerves for him as he stood by and watched Dean inspect his baby for two hours. Thanks for John pointing out that the car is off limits – always!! All of UnGen can relax a little now… The way you wrote it was stunning - “And Sam, you attacked the one thing your brother loves nearly as much as you…we never touch the car son, you know that” – really got to me… No wonder Sam got teary. Go John, Go Lou.

And so you backtrack us through a series of hilarious and clever pranks to find out John started it!! No Way! Our stoic and serious John has a funny bone! It was so good to hear him laugh!

Your scene where the boys huddled outside mending their rift was just nicely done. Peace restored to two angry, proud brothers.

And what’s worse than Winchesters pitted against each other? Ganging up! This is just screaming for a follow-up…

This is an awesome challenge entry, I thoroughly enjoyed it. A delightful mix of humour and Winchester connection, written with panache, your title says it all.

Author's Response:

Ah, Petra...Every time, just every review from you has me grinning from ear to ear like a cheshire cat and having to answer questions about what I could possibly be reading to a most bemused hubbie. I'm sure he thinks it must be something XXX rated...lol

And I have promised baby sis a follow up to this and I will, but will probably have to do some serious research, as those boys will have their jobs cut out fooling John...somehow I have a feeling cold tea in the whisky bottle, ain't gonna cut it...lol

Thanks for another AWESOME review Petra! XXX Louy

loved it ... wasn't sure where it was going but how John was able to hold off from laughing until the boys got out... hmmm are you going to have a short part on when the boys actually get John back... or leave to our imagination?....

Author's Response: Hi Aripage and thanks for the awesome review and stars...and I can promise there will be a sequel where the boys get John, but it may need a bit of planning, after all the'll have to be on top of their game to get HIM! XX Louy

To quote Dean, "Hi-freaking-larious, (wo)man!" And I loved your John - stern, authoritative dad, but able to see and appreciate the funny side of this, too. Great job! Sue

Author's Response:

Hey! This was great - I love how it built from the boys being in trouble to John laughing at them. Can't believe that John... *shakes head* Salt in the sugar bowl is just cruel!

But this line: he wanted them to feel the fear.

That is soooo a father thing to do. Strike fear into the hearts of kids so that they don't have to do as much punishing. :)

Well done, my friend. I enjoyed this very much and am grateful I no longer live near my obnoxious siblings... they could get some ideas.

Yipe.
