annA. I blame Summer Stock too....god i love that movie! ya ever seen it? it's well cool! sorry distracted... Hey who are you calling the Bobbster a 'girl'! I've met him and he's a god! Gosh this chapter is a killer babe, the discussion she's having about the garden and the future she sees for them in her absence is so sweet and soft and sad...And then you brought Henry's words in too wich i think made the emotion all the stronger...heehee and he knew she had drugged his tea! Nicely done bev xxx

annA ok so i'm sneaking on at work cause I've just done 4 hours of businesss planning with three accountants and I am at coma level 100000000000!!! Bless em! Antway...I like Penelope...she's very 'real' the way you write her and though she is well immersed in the period she feels understandable. I liked the fact that the well meaning visitors are driving her batty...i reackon she could feign an attack of the 'vapours' to see them off! OK and here comes yellow eyes? Always liked him he had class as demons go! Reading on...accountants can wait! bev xxx

Oh God, she got a year didn't she?? Or worse?? This was heartbreaking stuff and I am completely engrossed in Penelope's life now. It's remarkable, the parallels you've come up with between the boys and her life...and I'm looking out for the last chapter, need to know if Bobby got it right and there is hope for Dean in that journal after all... Great work and still one of the more original stories on the site. XX Louy

Beautiful descriptions here, and poor Penelope, even though she's a character from the past, it's still a tribute to your writing skill that she's so real and that reading this, I felt so much for her...great writing...moving on...
Author's Response: i'm so glad you're enjoying it. i cannot tell you how glad i am that you've connected with Penelope.

Hey annA Wow she's a feisty girl isn't she? Unusual enough fro a girl to hunt let alone a married woman from her era. I like the slow gradual cadence of the chapters, and Bobby's thoughtful contemplation of the journals. Cool! Bev xx
Author's Response: well, Penny is mostly the hunting world's greatest research geek, although she's also famous for a mean exorcism. (smirk). she's got balls, yes, and that's why Henry loves her. at any rate, thanks for the review, Bev, i'm glad it's still enticing.

Still loving this very original idea Anna, and i never have a problem with a lack of action if the story is moving forward and you have concentrated of some great character work in this one. Penelope is one knowledgeable woman and I'm not surprised that Bobby would want to meet her...pretty sure most of the hunting community would like to have her on their side...lol Great chapter!
Author's Response: thanks Louy. glad the character work meant something. and yeah, Penelope is basically the hunting world's biggest research geek of the time, although she does a mean exorcism. but mostly she passes on information. thanks again....you're my hero for reviewing, annA

hey, prop, came back to reread, once i had seen that you added more to this chapter. awesome how you added Bobby to the story, and are using the journal entries as a way of breaking Dean's deal. great job!! bambers;)
Author's Response: glad you like it. i can't thank you enough for persuading me to go through with it in its earlier form. now i think i finally pinned it down. and thanks for re-reading!

Loved this first chapter Anna, and as Bobby has always been a favourite of mine, you had me from word one. Your style is beautiful, very easy to read but vivid and intense at the same time. I'm looking forward to seeing how you move this on to relate to Deans deal...eager for more!!!
Author's Response: Thanks Louy. and, of course, where would we be without Bobby?

Hey Anna loving me Penelope, she's a feisty girl! Liked her telling the nosy old biddy that their 'marital relations' were shit-hot and getting the extra salt! Oh and she has a charm braclet and I bet its not unlike the one you mention in your biog huh? Precious things stay precious forever hunny! I like this, the journal has a fragility amongst the strength, a sadness blended with grit and determination to protect what she has left of her family. Cool! its different and a bit edgy. likes it. More please bev xx
Author's Response: Thanks a million, Bev! You just totally rocked my world. and yes, i couldn't resist the use of a charm bracelet. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
