Not the first time I have read this, but it still ranks as one of my favourite 'what if' stories. I love Sam's take on things, and I love it when Sam fights rather than being the protected one even if he ends up out cold on the floor, left to wonder exactly what happened to Dean. Brilliant.

The imagery was quite disturbing and the language really set the tone. I found myself all tensed up as I read the story--the whole idea of Dean being out of control when he doesn't "do victim"---I had to actually take a breath when it was over. You left enough to the imagination to make everthing worse. Sam being knocked unconscious after seeing Dean go down was a stroke of genious.....we'll just never know. The part about the ruining the dinner left such a bad taste (excuse the pun:)

Now I need to go back and watch that scene from FPB. see ya!

Great job!  I laughed rather hard.  But poor, idiot Dean! That "burned kitchen" certainly fits.  Gotta love him.
