Oh wow, this is so much fun to read!  I know, I'm coming late to the game, but reading about little Sammy and the struggle you've written with him switching back and forth to Sam was awesome.  I love big brother Dean!  I'm anxious to see how it ends!

So Sam really saw John ghost? And he's the willing spirit they need? And why do they need a willing spirit? And what about Sam? He's going to be alright isn't he? Well???

Please, please update soon!

Dany

Ooooh....

Now *peers sternly at you over glasses* since it's been so long, I feel I have to ask: John appeared to 'Sammy' at some point, yes? The same willing spirit now needed to complete the spell - the same spirit that is just sitting there, waiting to be used??? Yes?!

I certainly hope you don't intend to keep us waiting this long for another chappy? I've monopolized on tardyness, ya know? I'm the only one who gets to cross their own deadlines.... Shame on you...

Author's Response:

*laughs* Yes. Sammy has seen/mentioned him a few times.

I hope it doesn't take me so long to get this next chapter out either. Only one more and an epi!

 Thanks so much for commenting!

Author's Response: lol I had to end the chapter SOMEWHERE. No worries;) The next one won't be as long coming. Promise. And it doesn't have such a cliffy either. Thank you SO much for sticking with it and reviewing. *hugs*

Ah an image of little Sammy feet launching at his brother's private parts under the table is still getting to me :)

“What if I promise not to put a knife in the toaster?” That too :D Oh and what or possibly 'who' is Mr. Yuck?

Do you think they make t-shirts with the words: 'Grandma's love bug' for adults?

Now we get a little more serious - don't judge me by my poor memory. It's been awhile since I started this story and I can't possbily be expected to remember everything I've ever read :) But still. Now you get very serious. You have an uncanning ability to shift effrotlessly between humor, angst and down right horror (referring to Sammy's legs going swish, swish, swish under the kitchen table, cause dude, that freaked me out!)

Author's Response:

Aah, Mr. Yuck. lol Memooories. I suggest googling it for the best explanation. It's also spelled, Mr. YUK.

Ooh, I bet you could find an adult t-shirt that says that...or have one made.

LOL Thank you! And sorry for freaking you out!

Lovely... So little, yet so sarcastic. That's what I love about it I guess. It's practically dripping with sarcasm.

Author's Response: Poor Sam. LOL Thanks for reviewing again! *hugs*

"Small, Dean. I feel very, very small." Ahh :)

A scene from something I am almost 100 percent certain is a movie popped into my brain seemingly out of nowhere: "YOU MAKE ME FEEL THIS BIG!" *marks an inch between thumb and index*

That was a lovely movie... Wonder what it was called?

As your story, which I started SO long ago and completely forgot - much like the movie. Then (imagine my surprise if you can) I got a notis on my e-mail account saying one of my favorite stories had been updated. I squeed, I really did! :D

And now I'm re-reading the whole thing to give you a little more time to update before I run out of chapters. Did I mention my impatience and undying love for this story? God how can one little boy break so many hearts...*sighs*

Oh yeah, and: HolySnugglesFuck is going in my secret vocabulary :P oh yes, and 'holy shii' :D

Author's Response:

Hee! Sorry it's taking SO long. I did post TWO more chapters here, though. I don't know what movie you're talking about, but if you remember let me know! I'm intrigued.

Soo glad you're enjoying it and I really am sorry it's taking so long to finish.

Thank you!

I've must have been sleeping everytime I've been around here! Because that's the only explanation for not have found this storie earlier!

I'm loving it! Four year old Sam sounds so cute and sweet, but I really hope they find a way to bring big!Sam back.

The ceiling caved in on them?! And, and.... what?! no more? evil cliffhanger?! AHHHHH! Please come back and update soon! Pretty please?

Dany

Author's Response: Hi Dany! Thanks for the review! Yay! Glad you like it! The next chapter shouldn't be too long coming. Thanks again!

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so happy you're enjoying it!

Oh, no - Sam's starting to forget.

Love the "cuddle bug" reference thrown in every now and then - that's so sweet, and conjures up such a cute image of a four-year-old Sam. Drop-dead adorable.

Missouri's view and thoughts of the boys standing on the hill was heartwrenching. As was the way they were clinging so desperately to each other.

And now you've brought the ceiling down on them?...and there's no more for me to read.....*flails hands in horror*......

Come back!!!! Update!!!!!

*uses own puppy dog eyes to beg and plead*

Jules

Author's Response:

Hi Jules! Oh noes! Not the puppy eyes! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful reviews! I'm so glad you're enjoying it. Sorry it hit too close to home :(

The next chapter won't take as long to post as the last. Only a couple more to go!

Thank you SO much again!

Okay, that reduced me to tears.

I've been in a position where I've had to tell a dying loved one to just let go.....and it hurt like hell. So I could feel every single molecule of Dean's pain. And at the same time I could feel Sam's desperation and despair.

This was a hard one to read - I'm so caught up in this story it's unbelievable. It's past my bedtime, I've got an early start to work in the morning but I can't log off until I find out what's going to happen next.

It's just so gorgeous how Sammy finds his way to Dean and curls into his lap, always heading for that place of safety. Some beautiful brotherly moments there, but bittersweet given the circumstances. So poignantly sad, too, the favourite book and reading thereof, followed by the obligatory goodnights.

Hopefully they can find this creature, and fast, before Sam loses the fight.

Oh. My. Gosh.

Little Sammy is fighting against Sam? In that tiny body? As well as the hobyah's spell?

Oh. My. Gosh.......didn't see that one coming at all.

Can understand the hunters completely freaking out when Sam screamed and didn't stop. And I could clearly see the scene in the aftermath - Dean frantically pacing, Bobby shaken to the core and cradling Sammy, Missouri looking worried as hell.

Hell of a chapter - hell of a story.

Reading on - can't stop now........

"Their hearts just didn't know how to beat on their own." That was a beautiful line. And so accurately summed up the brothers.

This was heartbreakingly sad, but beautifully written. Dean and Bobby's anguish, Sammy's fear and instant calm when Dean picked him up, the fact that both elder hunters missed Sam so much, the desperate fight to get him back - I was fighting off tears most of the way through.

I love the inclusion of Missouri Mosely - let's hope that she really can help, and give Dean some peace.  And hope.

Oh, goodness....what did he do? And did he complete whatever his task was before Dean kicked the door down? Oh my gosh.....

Loved how Sam proved to Dean that he could defend himself - the wrestling match that ended in a tickling match was just such a sweet brotherly moment.

But there was a darker motive behind it after all - Sam needed to be out from under Dean's watchful eye to carry out his self-imposed mission.

Scary stuff - just what did he have planned?

Jules

Reviewer: mizpah (Signed) · Date: 03/02/10 04:21 AM · On: Chapter Four: The boy inside the child

Aww, that was so sad, especially when little Sammy told Dean that it hurt in his heart when he'd seen his brother die.

And then for Sam to come back to himself and remember the Trickster's cruel time loop, and stay in the comforting circle of his big brother's arms just so he could hold on for a little while longer.....*reaches for tissues*.....

But what is Sam planning? It doesn't sound good.....what's going on in that stubborn Winchester mind?

Jules

Oh, gosh, Sam got taken out by Lassie - ROFL!!! Can just imagine Dean's amusement as he took the picture. Oh, and loved the tee shirt slogans - "Big Kid Under Construction" - lol.

Could really feel Sam's shock at seeing his four-year-old self in the mirror. And that fever seems to be a bit ominous - coming and going like it is.

Really touching moment when Sam decided that his brother's warmth and protection was far more preferable than the loss of his dignity - that was so sweet.

But then we get the scary bit - Sam's mind looks like it hasn't escaped the spell after all by the sounds of it. This is going to be a bumpy ride....

Loved the exchanges between the boys - and Sam's deadly aim with a pillow.... Chuckled out loud when Sammy fell off the bed - could just imagine that startled little squeak just before he hit the floor.

Wonder what's on that tee shirt?

And trust the boys to not only stumble on a more powerful creature than they'd planned for, but sounds like the very location is cursed somehow as well.

Nothing simple for the Winchesters. LOL.
