i'm so glad you carried on with this story!! Sam's puppy dog eyes really do work!! :) i really didn't find this chapter all that confusing in fact it was just as good as the last chapter so keep it up!!

Well, I admire your grit in tackling a complex plot with alternating timelines as a first story. I'm not sure where you're going from here. Your birthday may be Feb. 19th, but Dean's is January 24th (if you want to research it, the ep is The Benders) and if you wrote that the boys were celebrating Dean's birthday, then it needs to be the right date.
Ah, and you've got some Britspeak left in this chapter - "he would so be taking the piss out of him".

I don't think you should be worried- this is a good start and certainly pulled me in. I'd love to know where this is going. you've said this isn't a deathfic, but what have you done to poor Sam! I liked the little flashbacks teasing out the backstory
