Oh Cal!

i'm reading this with Bird, my cat, sat on my lap and now I've gone and gotten snot and tears all over him!  He's not happy Hunny and he's got sharp claws!

Nice, sad and sweet use of a very few but well chosen words.

Bev xx  (Meow from Bird)

Author's Response:

Oops, sorry Bird!

(And sorry Bev, know just how sharp feline claws can be - still got the scars to prove it!)

Thanks!

Very strong!  It makes me want more.

That one made me shiver.  Creepy.  Good job!

When you said a happier one I wasn't expecting the first words to be, "raging flames, tearing at his skin, dying again and again."  but then it did get happy.  I love the 'when hell freezes over' line.  The whole drabble is a contradiction (hellfire and snow, torment and peace) and I love it

Great!  I love the line "just as lost alone, but it had taken far too long for him to see that."  That one line says so much.

Author's Response: So I've sacred you, brought tears to your eyes and made you smile. My day is complete! Thanks for all the kind words, ya know just what to say...

Cal.

Oh now that one has scared me a bit.  It's very dark (like good bitter chocolate!) and oozes sadness.  You are very skilled at packing a very few words with huge splodes of terror!

Cal.

A sonnet to the most beautiful, haunting, wonderfully heartbreaking  eyes. Nicely done!

cal.

F**k lollipops and candy canes when we can have sweet exquisite torture like this!

"It is the warmth of his brother’s hand in his."  This is a badass soul stealer of a last line Cal, tears Hunny!

Cal

Hey my fab freaky weirdster!  I like this it's rather haunting and puts me in mind of that final scene in ButchCassidy and The Sundance Kid, where Butch and Sundance, broken and bleeding, burst out into the hail of Bolivian gunfire.  Determined to go out side by side in a blaze of glory.

I love this bit "They stepped forward together, into the midday night." - midday night?  that's a wonderfully evocative dicotomy, both descriptively and emotionally.

Reading on Cal
