Dean's stream of consciousness is hilarious! Did an elephant squish him? Too funny! Sam's injuries seem to have kicked his depression, at least temporarily.
Author's Response: I had a lot of fun playing with a hazy Dean - wondering what was going on and why he felt like he had been squished. Figured it could use a bit of a light note because things are going to be rather heavy for the boys for a while. And as always Sam comes first - so that takes a front seat on Dean's priorities. His feelings on his Dad's death will be resurfacing later. Thanks for the review!

I like the switch from Sam's point of view to Dean's and back. I didn't expect the harpy to drop Sam when she did. I expected it when he sliced off her leg and when it didn't happen I relaxed a little. Very tricky!
Author's Response: Kind of fooled you a bit with the whole harpy thing huh? I was tempted to have her drop Sam when he chopped off her leg actually - but it seemed better for her to hold off just a little bit longer. I didn't want Sam to have a fifty foot fall after all. A trail of intestines---nice! Once again I'm carried away by Sam's thoughts. I see Dean in a different light. Seeing his strength through Sam's eyes makes his vulnerabilities even more touching. That brotherly bond is so strong in this piece. Excellent!

I've really enjoyed playing with Sam's thoughts and how he sees Dean - especially at the beginning of season two. This keeps sucking me in! I love that they're fighting something that isn't the usual demon or vampire! I'm also intrigued by Dean's melancholy and Sam's persistence to protect him.

Oh, I enjoyed it, actually I'm hooked! What a scary situation, I'm really dying to know how the boys will fight this and it will be some fight!

Dean isn't going to be far from Sam's side from now on, and I doubt anyone can blame him. You are right about this fight being some fight though, it is going to be a long haul for both brothers and they will have their ups and downs but we all know that in the end they will triumph. LOL.
