Sam had rolled down his window as well, letting in crisp desert air. He liked the feel of it on his face, tousling his hair, clearing out the close stale air that he and Dean had been sharing between them for what seemed like thousands of miles.  - What a great turn of phrase....you've got a really nice touch at description also.   ;) Kel

Nice Hunny!  Made me feel like I was there with them, I could feel the warm breeze on my face, taste that slight grittyness in my mouth from the dry desert air.

I rejoiced for Sam's moment of absolute and sweet peace, I can think of the half a dozen times in my own life where I have known that stillness and joy.

And then Dean's reaction to Sam's touch was just perfect, that intial reaction of snark and push it away to be followed by a longed for release of his constant abiding fear.

Loved it, few words but well chosen and thankfully shared. Bravo.
