I read and reviewed this over on fanfic.net but decided that I'd review it here too. This is a superbly creepy beginning to this story. Yes, definitely "Poe-ish".

Whoa...okay, so first you take away those amazing dimples, then the beautiful hair, and even the gorgeous eyes...but now his mouth? This just isn't fair! Please update soon and tell me that Sammy isn't going to loose much more!

You're right, the imagery is Poesque, but then, I always enjoyed Poe. A well written start, I'm looking forward to the rest !(althought I rather suspect Sam is looking forward to it somewhat less, hmm...) - Angela
