Typical Dean, never showing his emotions.  I just loved that he would sacrifice everthing for someone he cares about. This was a beautiful story.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! Sorry my reply has taken so long! Yes, Dean never really shows his emotions, but I htink in many ways he's more emotional than Sam. The fact that he would sacrifice everythign for someone he loves is his best point!

Thank you again, Hugs, Muffy

This is a softly sad little story Muffy. I’ve done a bit of that sitting by a hospital bed listening to a beep beep of a monitor whilst I prayed for a good outcome. Didn’t happen for me and I remember how that hurt so I’m glad it worked for Dean. Nicely done, soft and sad and sweetly uplifting. Bev xx

Author's Response: Thank you so much hon, I like soft and sad sometimes. Their lives seem so full of action (from what we see) but you know there are the quiet moments waiting for the other that are so hard! This strory just flowed out of me in a few hours. I made myself sniffle a bit. I'd had the title for ages, just no story to go with it, then it kindly decided to stop by.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! That moment just happened, and it made me smile as I wrote it. Thank you again!

I just had to read this after Chapter 5 of Lachrimae, you really are spoiling us tonight!!  What a lovely story, considering how sad it was - tears all over the place here - the ending left me feeling ridiculously happy.

Poor Dean really gets put through the emotional wringer, from his guilt at being saved, to his guilt at letting the reaper almost take him, his inability to cry whilst he talks non-stop to Sam, to the final breaking of the flood gates when he discovers he hasn't saved him.  Not to mention getting punched by Sam and the loss of his Bark at the Moon tape.  Then there's the heartbreaking acceptance that John hasn't come to either of them in their time of deepest need.  All this, and it still managed to leave me smiling!!

A lovely story.  Thank you.  Jane

Author's Response:

Thank you so much *sends tissues*

This story just appeared im my head in one long piece and flowed out of me, I was a little surprised as I wrote it, although I am pleased with the way it turned out. The gut-wrenching guilt at living after Faith I think played on Dean's mind, and of course Sam's fear of losing Dean would motivate the anger. And which is worse for Dean? Getting punched ot the loss of his tape? LOL I could so picture the look on Sam's face as he dropped it out the window.

Your reviews always leave me smiling! That you so much!

Great story!  What a gamut of emotion!  I love when Dean thinks that he may have prayed and he's had a crisis of faith.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! Dean is such an complex internal guy (at least to me) and I think in those quiet moments he thinks about many things. Thank you again!
