Wow. This was achingly beautiful. So well written. LOVED the glimpse of them as kids, Sam swearing protection for Dean as well. And the quote you used was just perfect. Really, a lovely story. I'm favoriting this.

oops... I meant Shadow... :) Just kinda assumed this had to do with that one... Am I mistaken?

"...the moon hangs heavy and pregnant, bleeding silver light into the purples and blues, fighting for attention in a bruised sky." "By morning the storm is exhausted and the sky is left the colour of ripe peaches." These two small descriptions framed the story so nicely (besides being awesome in themselves, LOVED the colors they made me see) and underlined the repetition of "smiling gently at the naivety of the sentiment…but there’s something about that earnest look and the tone of his brother’s voice…something that makes him believe it. " I really liked the idea of Dean's last year being one long drawn out "Last moment" Huh, guess I better go read "Fall of...", so I know what on earth was going on... :)

Louy, don't know how I missed this one (Or honestly if I did..lol, this might be a second review) but I noticed it refreneced in your story so here I am. This is one gorgeous (is that how you spell that?..huh,) piece of work. The emotion is spot on and your hope shines through every word. I loved it and I'm glad I didn't miss out on it ;)
Author's Response: Thanks Kel, this is a beautiful review and just what I needed today! Glad the hope shines through, that's what life should be all about. XXX Thanks for a great pick me up XXX Louy

Zounds, you're a wordsmith. I have a more utilitarian style, but I appreciate wordpainting when I read it. Poor Dean, Sammy's just got to save him! Sue
Author's Response: Thanks Sue, although this one was a bit intense even for my tastes, strange where your head goes sometimes, huh? Thanks again Sue XX Louy

wow... I mean just... WOW! that was so intense the way every emotion just jumps off the page, the beginning about the soul and death just had me completely enthralled . and the message of hope at the end really made you hope with and for them, well done!
Author's Response: Thank you so much, these are great compliments, and I'm especially happy it moved you as it was a very personal piece of work, I almost didn't post it actually..lol Thanks so much for this great review..XX Louy

Very poetic! And I liked the part when they were kids. Sammy wanting to protect his big bro too:) Then renewing the promise. I also liked how you made it like the rain was the world crying over Dean! I'll not only be crying up my own storm if Dean dies, but I'll also be screaming bloody murder at the TV! My heart had stopped for a bit when it looked like Dean was dead for good in the repeat day!! I really hope they do save Dean (both in the show, and in your story)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Author's Response: Thanks Michelle, I'm very pleased you liked this and I promise I don't do death fics, although they do get a bit dark sometimes so don't worry...lol. I'm definately going to save him...X Louy

Touching and beautifully written - deserving of the nomination it reserved. The description of the storm and Dean's trip down memory lane was colourful and poetic. I have admired your artwork in the banners you make for stories, but it seems that along with your pictures... your words tell a thousand... words!! Measured piece of work conveying so much more. Brilliant.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for this very kind review, and also for what you said about the banners. They're not the best on the site by a long shot but I do love to make them...Thank you very much. X Louy

Author's Response: Thank you so much for letting me know, and even though I now know it was my own loving hubbie who nominated this one (bless him) it's a huge honour to even be in the same list as the likes of Gaelicspirit and devonshire. Thanks. X Louy

Lout When my Mum died I had walked your 'wide pale beach' for nearly 6 months and then spent the last 12 hours of her life holding her in my arms, even though I didn’t know if she even knew I was there because she was so out of it, but I wanted to imprint the feel of her on my shattering heart. The sweet agony of those hours is described here. It’s hard to read because it has moved me so. I don’t really have the words to describe how I feel so all I can say is this is a skilled and beautiful piece of writing that has touched my soul and reminded me of the beauty of unconditional love. Its grief and pain is raw and tangible, but subtle and compelling. It is breathtakingly sad yet ultimately uplifting. I am humbled by the complexity of the writing and your skills. Bev xx
Author's Response: Bev, yet again, your review has made the writing of this worthwhile. Thanks for sharing something so deeply personal. There can be no better compliment than to hear this piece of writing took you back to those last days with your mum, it's very much the same place I was in when I wrote it, but I'm just glad it left you feeling uplifted and hopeful. Thanks again my friend! X Louy

Beautifully written. You are right, it's sad but so hopeful at the same time. There are many well written, touching fics that bring tears in my eyes but usually my tears don't actually fall while reading. Now they did. Amazing job!

I enjoyed this very much...was listening to Within Temptation's Listen to your Heart while reading this, and it fits perfectly. The hint of melancholy, the peeking ray of hope even in the bleakness of the darkness..... I hope that you are fine... :)

That was heartbreaking, beautiful, and thoroughly amazing. It was so visual, you could see every expression on their faces, picture every drop of rain that fell, and the promise of some kind of future and salvation for them both at the end made it perfect.
Author's Response: Thank you so much for this great review. I'm very glad to know it worked so well for you, especially as I'm a great fan of your writing. Thanks for this X Louy
