I read this (on the other site) before, but enjoyed it enough to review it here too. When I watch the show, since finding your AU, I often feel sorry for Dean... I wish he HAD a Caleb, your Caleb! This story proves why. I haven't watched this episode of season three, but Caleb watching Dean's back is a familiar theme. Loved that they were discussing Dean's future, and that Caleb is so well placed to help Dean deal with his Demon fears. How sad that Caleb sees himself as the last of his line... he'd make one helluva Father as well as an Uncle!! Though ever the Knight - others first, he can't even allow himself to imagine the possibility of a family in his future.

Dean and Caleb are, as always such a winning combination - love their loyalty to each other and Sam.

Loved seeing Caleb's view of Dean:

"But you could never be one of them. I know you. Inside and out. That kind of evil...you're not capable of."

And...

"You're the most self-sacrificing bastard I know- it's what's gotten us in this mess. You're sense of self-preservation is a little skewed, that's all."

Heartwarming stuff - made all the better by the fact that these two are rarely this open ... unless there are head wounds and major blood loss involved!!!!

i love your stories about the Brotherhood-Caleb and Dean's friendship - Sammy -still the runt in Caleb's eyes. OUTSTANDING work!!!!!

So Sammy has a two-fer- almost too funny when Caleb states the girls will eat him alive.

Caleb's faith in the idea that the Deal will be stopped- AWESOME timing .

You never disappoint your readers- always top notch!!!!!

Thanks for this very sweet tag to Dream a Little Dream of Me...and i can't wait for the latest eppy to To the Victor...and when i was watching the eppy, and they needed the dream root, my first thought was: Joshua! Then i remembered that he wasn't in the series, but in your Brotherhood AU. LOL

said it before, but won't hurt to say it again, LOVE this universe. Is there a story where Caleb learns about Dean's deal?

Very impressed by this. There's a few of us who are about to jump into reading and reviewing the brotherhood, (we've only just discovered it)...and I've got to say, I can't wait. And this is fantastic.

Having just been surfing the brotherhood pages, I now know what the characters look like and their history and I'm so impressed by the scale of the whole thing.

Can't wait to get stuck in and this little taster was fantastic..thank you for the great read!
