Bev, oh no not the pool issue again...... what a great chapter i was on pins and needles not knowing what you were going to put Dean through. i love how you write Bobby; his compassion and love for these 2 are obvious and you have captured him beautifully. i loved how you had Dean asking permission to go to bed..... again the way you describe Dean's eyes send my heart a fluttering........ "Sparkling emerald gaze", "Pink tinged pale jade eyes" and my favorite so far in this story " long lashes fluttering over pools of limpid green." also wanted to comment on how you described Dean realizing what him and Sam do for a living......"the realization came to him that they were sentient, albeit murderous, being, he found his resolve swaying." this was so gripping at how truly dangerous their lives are and for him to have to accept this without having full use of his memory, poignant! I also loved the line"its many wounds staining blond hair crimson as it wove a rich vermillion pattern onto the grass." what an excellent description of the injured vampire and his blood lose. you are truly one of my favorite writers on this site i can not wait for new chapters to being on your stories........will wait ever so patiently for chapter 8. It is so flattering when someone takes the time to say which bits of a chapter moved them so thanks for doing that for me. I'm glad I got Bobby right for you. I think he is a wonderfully compassionate man and that is something the boys so need. It's especially crucial for Dean that someone watch out for him as he fulfils that role for Sam but who does it for him? Well Bobby does! Owh and Dean's eyes! Well yes its an obsession and I can't help myself but they are such beautiful eyes aren't they? Ah my fluttering heart! Thank you for picking up on the dilemma Dean had in killing the vamps once he knew they were reasoning creatures. I think he is less and less clear where his heart is on this as time goes by, partially fueled by his fears that Sam may be/have 'darkside' tendancies. It is a huge compliment that you say i am one of your fav authors as there are such magnificent authors on UnGen, thank you it I am delighted. I'm really loving this story. The line in the flashback where Dean peels the limpet that is Sam off his side is a perfect description. I've always thought that scared kids seem to multiply their hands as they try to cling to yo! LOL. Can't wait to read the rest.. --c

The fight scene was great! Had me reading almost faster than my mind could process just to find out what happened next. I was hoping that Sam calling for help from Dean would reboot him, but he did great considering. So glad the sweet sappy Dean made a reappearance! When he asked Sam if Bobby's motel was a nice one I nearly wet myself. His memory is great when it comes to pools and motels!

This isn't fair! I miss the sweet, sappy Dean and the cocky, kick-ass Dean. It's so sad that he can't have super-hunter powers and a light heart at the same time. As for Bobby---who doesn't love him?! He's the best! The way you express the thoughts, expressions and emotions of your characters is awsome! I feel like I'm spying on them. Hee! Somehow I have a feeling that Dean's going to end up fighting the vamps anyway.

Aw, can we go stay at Motel Bobby? Sounds fun! Loved the fight - especially the heads bouncing down the stairs and spinning like tops! Great fun, but still vividly enthralling. Bring on the ragging...!

Yay! The end of this chaopter was great! I love the humor, especially the mention of killer clowns and their usual retorts. Sam's emotions as he told Dean about their lives was so expressive. I almost cried for what the information did to both brothers.

'I worship at the shrine...' And Iit seems so does Rita. Couldn't resist, could ya? Dean is so damn cute! I love how he parrots Sam's admonishments about food and good health. Sam is going to have one helluva fun time ribbing Dean about all this when he's better. Hope Dean gets another crack at Rita. After meeting injured Dean, real Dean would throw her completely for a loop!

I can't get enough of this story. I love Dean's instincts kicking in, but I love him being so vulnerable at the end there. The whole "It's your job, Dean" bit - that was awesome. And love the end of the chapter as well. GREAT STORY!

Sam couldn’t bear to hear his consummate hunter brother described like a nuisance child at a grown-ups picnic. I couldn't bear it either! but it's still a risk when Dean goes to hunt and there's nothing he can do about it is there? i would rather he take a back seat while Sam and Bobby took out the vamps, but i have a feeling it won't turn out that way, no? LOL And how norm is it when Dean's first memory of Bobby is after a hunt gone bad? Winchesters can rarely have a 'good' hunt. :) And i miss sweet Dean too! can it make a final appearance before tough Dean comes back?

Nah,I'm looking forward to Sam teasing Dean about his "sap" in a nice way of course (g). Hopefully there's some Dean whumpage in there alongwith Dean heroics..sometimes I think SPN gloss over Dean in the effort to spotlight Sam (College guy, tall, clever etc) and down play Dean as not so smart and a bit foolish seeming. I'm all for Dean. This is a neat story and I really like the ideas you've given us. I can ever "see" the episode in full technicolor on the screen..possibly episode 17 of Season 3? Hope your finger is better!

Still love that flashback, Bev! As much as I liked sappy Dean, I'm with Sam in the 'happy he is almost back to normal' corner. I missed the snark and ass kicking. Wonderful chapter. Well, we knew Dean couldn't remain innocent for long and that the memories would eventually flood back. Poor Dean though. That's a lot to take in at once. I'll miss is wide-eyed view on everything. Can't wait for the next chapter.
