What a funny chapter. Dean and Uriel're so acting like brats. Uriel haven't been charitable but in the end he paid for that, lol. Can't wait to know what's next.

Y'know, every time I start to think maybe Uri isn't such a bad old stick after all, he goes and does something to make me wanna bitch slap him!  Glad he got his just desserts though - yay for Bobby's dodgy plumbing (Ha!)

Great chappy, you write so well that the whole hunting lark just becomes secondary to Dean being bashed, healing, being bashed a bit more then having a shower to clean off all the muck from having been bashed so much.  There's an entire story just in that!

loved these two lines the best,
"Make the little winged shit come outta there this minute, Sammy, or I swear there will be one less freaking angel trumpet playing Dixie..."  and "Uriel, open the damn door and get your feathered ass out here this minute!"......LOL

the line with the conditioner also great. 

Poor Sam trying not to laugh but thankfully Dean had the last laugh thanks to the plumbing.

“How you doing, Dean?”

Sam spoke to the top of his brother’s bowed head and he was surprised when he heard a mildly pissed response.

“Quit stalling, Sam! Let’s move. Don’t want ...get caught...with ya feeling ...up...merchandise.”

Bobby’s voice betrayed his growing concerns as he crouched down and pulled Dean’s feet by his jeans centring them under his sagging body, and Sam was relieved to feel Dean take some of his weight himself. Bobby rose just in time to hear Dean mumble.

“God, does everyone wanna cop a feel?” 

LOL doesn't he know that a lot of females would love to cop a feel at him!!? and that is so sweet of him, trying to ease everyone when he's the one that's hurt and about to collapse...

And Bobby's reaction to having an archangel in his kitchen is priceless!!! Although, forgive me for being so ignorant, but what's the difference between an angel and an archangel?

Hey I'm so with you on the whole 'copping a feel' deal! and isn't he just so adorable trying to make light of the situation when he's feeling so poorly! I'd risk being ill though if i could get them to manhandle me like that!

As to angels vs archangels, here's a bit of info from Wikipedia explaining that archangels are the highest ranking in the heirarchy of the angels.

The word archangel comes from the Greek αρχάγγελος (archangělǒs), meaning chief angel.^[7] It derives from the Greek archō, meaning to be first in political rank or power; and aggělǒs which means messenger. This suggests that they are the highest ranking angels. The word is only used twice in the New Testament: 1 Thessalonians 4:16 and Jude 1:9. Only Michael and Gabriel are mentioned by name in the New Testament.

Michael is the only angel the Bible names expressly as THE archangel. In Daniel he is referred to as "one of the chief princes". The word "prince" here is the ancient Hebrew word sar, which means: "a head person (of any rank or class), a chief, a general etc."^[8]

In most Christian traditions Gabriel is also considered an archangel, but there is no direct literal support for this assumption.

Another possible interpretation of the seven archangels, is that the seven are the seven spirits of God that stand before the throne described in the Book of Enoch, and in the Book of Revelation.^[10]

They (The Seven Archangels) are said to be the guardian angels of nations and countries, and are concerned with the issues and events surrounding these, including politics, military matters, commerce and trade: e.g. Archangel Michael is traditionally seen as the protector of Israel and of the Ecclesia (Gr. root ekklesia from the New Testament passages), theologically equated as the Church, the forerunner of the spiritual New Israel.

So are Sam and Uri going to be squabbling as well, since, you know, Sam would do anything to defend his bro and Uri has already annoyed the both of them....

Jo stepped closer to Dean and was unsurprised that his face was a purposefully unreadable mask.  She had known the hunter long enough to know that his place of safety was deep inside himself and those expressive eyes, that could occasionally offer such a privileged view of his complicated soul, could also be as cold as emerald ice.

I like the reaction that Dean has to the whole Jo/Uri hug/kiss. Dean's not the type of guy who wears his heart on his sleeve (blood, maybe, but not heart....LOL sorry, can't resist being corny) so maybe him being completely unreadable is good. and yup, his eyes can be cold as well..

once again you have touched a be founding core deep inside of my soul.  

the test to have faith, to believe;  i feel is in all of us. to do what is right is thrust at us daily.  the knowledge that good can not exist without evil is part of our everyday life.

i love how you have written out this chapter  Dean trusting Bobby enough to not only tell him how he feels scared as hell but also being able to shed the tears he so desperately tries to hide. 

i love how Bobby has become so much of a father figure to these 2 my heart breaks when he is hurting just as much as if were Dean or Sam in pain.

i am also really liking how you are having Sam bound with Uriel.  Sam telling Uriel why Dean is afraid is profound.  Uriel and Sam relating on how their big brothers forget they are adults too real had me laughing.  

"Dean looked into his brother's wide, warm hazel eyes and saw the unvoiced concerns in his worried frown. He managed a smile, and for a moment exhaustion caused that simple gesture to roll back the older hunter's omnipresent shutters allowing Sam to see straight into his brother's complex and damaged depths. It was like being instantly sucked into a churning vortex and the turbulence and terror roiling within the outwardly tranquil man was breathtaking. The sudden revelation of his brother's inner turmoil left Sam reeling."  this description of Dean to Sam left me breathless the realization hit hard.  i loved this paragraph.

You have described Dean's eyes in so many different ways and i honeslty feel this is one of my favorites, "turbulent green ocean."  talk about getting lost in a sea of green and melting like an ice berg when ever you look into his eyes. 

as always Bev, you're handling of words leaves me wanting more.

Awesome chapter.  It's actually nice to see Dean's vulnerable and scared side.  I loved how he was swaying from exhaustion, etc.  And I also loved how Bobby was there for him in this chapter--a nice switch up from Sam (not that I don't LOVE Sammy taking care of his brother!)
