No, no no! You can't leave us like that, I need to know what happens next. This just leaves me wanting more. I'm glad you revisited Bryn, I like her as a character. I really like that Pyrewacket doesn't like Sam, and he's super protective of Dean. He's almost like a guard cat. Haha. Great job hun, can't wait for the next one. Danni
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I love Bryn and I think the boys will be back to her sometime soon. I think that the sence of calm she offers will become more and more important as the year winds down. And Pyewacket, someone suggested a short humor fic, Dean, the cat and the Impala.

Aahh, so there's a chance that Bryn's figured out how to save him, if only he was convinced he wanted to be saved!! The terror Dean has held in check at the thought of going to hell, has been unleashed now that there's an escape route for him. It's heartbreaking because he wants to stay and fight to live for Sam and he recognises that he would want the same if the situation were reversed but the chance to save his soul and be able to rest in peace is becoming more and more desirable. At least Sam and the cat seem to be on better terms, now I'm just worried about Sam and the pain in his arm. If anything will make Dean want to fight, it will be an injured Sam. I've been sitting here with tears streaming down my face at the promises being made here. Wonderful stuff, looking forward to the next one. Thanks Jane
Author's Response: Oh thank you so much! Your reviews just warm my hear, although I am blushing! I can understand a little what Dean is seeking. Rest, peace, a way out of hell, must be an intoxicating idea! *sends tissues*

Author's Response: Thank you so much. No worries, not the end, not yet. Two more chapters I think to go! I love it when they take care of each other too. Makes me happy.

I remain completely intrigued with this story, the undercurrent between them is beautifully done.
Author's Response: Oh thank you so much. I love the opportunity for the boys to have quiet moments together. They seem to get too few!

I can't believe that Sam has to make that choice...it's no wonder that he has a problem with Bryn's home right now......poor thing....and i'm sure Dean would understand, right?
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I hope Dean would understand, I'm sure he would feel the same way if the positions were reversed.

My heart's breaking for the both of them. Beautiful chapter! - Angela

Now we know why Sam's been so freaked since they got there. What a heartbreaking choice for Sam nine months ago, it's no wonder he's terrified of being in the same situation again. Poor Dean is so accepting of his fate, anywhere else he's be fighting tooth and nail to survive but he knows that both Sam and he are safe and feels that is the best he can do for Sam. Extreme pain is such a destroyer of one's will to live, it becomes impossible to see beyond it to recovery. To watch someone you love in pain, when all they want is for you to take it away is an agony all in itself. Like Sam, you begin to wonder if you wishing for them to stay is just a selfish desire to keep them there for yourself. Another tremendously powerful chapter, again, Dean's thoughts take much of the sting away. Looking forward to the next one. Jane
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yes, Dean accepting his fate because of that feeling of safety and escape, niot just for him, but for his brother as well. I think Dean, safe, is a different person in so many ways. But you are so right, pain, more than anything can take away that will to keep fighting, that knowing that every second, every moment it is there. And watching that, you do wonder what is the better choice for the person who is suffering. More very soon

Dean is already thinking about leaving his brother there?? He can't be serious! Who's gonna look after him if he left??
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm not sure Dean is thinking very clearly at this point at all!

I loved the first story and this one is great, too. Hope they will find a way to help Dean. I really like the way you portray the boys. Very good read so far.
Author's Response: Oh thank you so much! And I'm sure they'll find a way to help Dean. Bryn and Sam together are quite a team!

Oh no, don't let Dean give up.... The knowledge that he can't be taken from Bryn's sounds like the excuse he needs to stop fighting. You've captured the terror he is feeling at what his future holds and the sense of relief he feels at finding a way out. I only hope his lifetimes mission to keep Sam safe kicks in to play and gives him the reason he needs to fight this. Poor Sam is as usual on a guilt trip roller coaster, the tension just rolls off him. He's going to be torn between needing Dean to stay with him and letting him go, to keep his eternal soul free. I love they way Dean relates to Bryn, it is so rare to see him put total trust into anyone other than Sam but with Bryn there is also total honesty which he can so seldom give to his brother. Loving the story, very sad though, laced with lovely gentle humour. Looking forward to the next instalment. Thanks. Jane
Author's Response: Thank you so much! Yes, the chance to escape hell is quite a draw for Dean I think. And then Sam--save his brother or not? I love Dean and Bryn, I've wanted to get them back together again, and I probably will again. There is something wonderful in the way the relationship grew between them.

I was actually thinking that that thing would catch up with them and then both of them will have untold torture bestowed......probably something that will leave a permanent scar both physically and mentally......had me holding my breath there for a second or two....
Author's Response: Thanks for your review!! Glad I had you in suspense and am glad you are enjoying the story:) More soon!! Thanks again!!

Oh, it feels good to be back in the safely of Bryn's cottage. Loved that the creature screamed in fury when it couldn't pass her gates!! It's nice to see that Dean and that Stupid Cat have taken up where they left off. There's such a cosy, homely feel, with the coffee and cinnamon rolls, the fresh clothes and the beds all ready for their return. Dean is in such a poor state, I hope Bryn's got whatever it takes to fix him again. It's good to see him relax and let Bryn take control but poor Sam is getting more and more on edge with every moment. Love the story. Jane
Author's Response: Thanks for the review and am glad you are enjoying the story:) Yep--I wouldn't mind going to Bryn's sometime--nice and cozy and safe:) Thanks again!!

OMG this chapter is so wonderful, so intense! I can feel their physical and emotional pain, those poor boys! Love your depiction of Sam trying to stay calm while talking to the doctor. Hurricane Sam in teh making, better watch out! And your insight that what might make Sam go over the edge is concern for Dean is brilliant. He'll do anything to save him (as you also showed in Waxing and Waning). And that thing - it is so utterly creepy, and enjoying what it does to Dean *shudders* Now, Sam, hurry and get to Bryn so Dean can get help!!! Waiting breathlessly for the next update! Love, abni

Oh, I really don't like the sound of growing black holes... they can't be good!! I just hope Bryn's at home when they get there. Poor Sam's struggling to not let panic lay claim to him but it's all going horribly wrong. It's interesting to see the different feelings the boys both had for their time at Bryn's. Sam, almost shying away from returning, as he remembers Dean's suffering there, while Dean remembers it as somewhere he can let his guard down and a place of healing. Dean's attacker seems to be revelling in his suffering, something's really got a grudge against him this time. Kind of an evil cliffie at the end there, please don't keep us in suspense for too long!! Loving the story. Jane
Author's Response: Thank you so much!! More soon--promise:) Thanks again so much!!
