Love seeing John's dad! This was fantastic!  You have such great ideas. I really like how you've treated John. I think he did the best he could with the boys in his situation. Thanks for not portraying him as a monster!

Vikki

Author's Response: I am glad you like my portrayal of John! I always thought the writers and a majority of fans were a bit harsh on him. Thank you for the wonderful review! :)

Man, it is interesting on how a character as John Winchester could ever care for a demons belief. Ilike it. Can't believe it, but okay you are the writer an interesting one. RATING:)315 ++++

This Serph character is a total A-HOLE in capital letters w/ HELL writen on his back. This so called uncle of theirs, should not even be allowed to get near the boys. For it would scare them to even have an acknowledgment that he is family. Dean, on the other hand would probably send his old raggedy hunter ass to hell. Your good. Rating:) 300 ++++

I had to re-read this one for i foun it very interesting that John was thinking to work with brother in law, but not to allow him to get any where near them. I like that.

This is very impresive that the boys would allow their father to train a new comer into that type of job. I'm beging to like him he is mixed with the charateristics of DEAN and SAM. I like it. It showed meaning and respect.

Wow!  This wasn't the type of ending I expected.  I love it, but was surpirsed all the same.  A nice bonding moment between all the Winchester men.

Interesting point John makes about Mary keeping in touch with his family butn not her own.  Now that he's met ben Seraph, his family dysfunction seems normal.

I just love Ben Seraph!  He's the crazy badass all our mothers warn us about.

Love all the wisecracks between John and Seraph and John and the demon.  It's just like a family reunion to me.  ;)

I think this is your best work yet!!  It blew me away!

I know I'm not supposed to but I luuuuv Ben Seraph.  He's dangerous and twisted, but funny. His one liners had me cracking up.  And I die everytime he calls John Winnie or John-John.  Dean's more like a Seraph than John Winchester.

Pretty scary that Ben's done so much recent research on the Winchesters.  Makes me wonder what he's planning.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for the compliment! Eeeh! I love this chapter as well. I also love Ben Seraph. I'm so pleased that he turned out the way he did. I was going for the whole "Seraph is a lot like Dean only ten times more damaged" thing.

John and Ben hunting together? Dude, that sounds explosive! Can't wait : )

Author's Response: John and Ben together in any sort of context is just a bad idea. Put them hunting together? Oh, yeah, it will be explosive. I'm glad you're enjoying.

I think it's wonderful the way John looks at Joshua as one of his sons and decides his make-up is between Sam and Dean.

The conversation outside the motel room between John and Dean about Sam's sex life is hilarious!  Sam's reaction to his dad is a typical 15 year old.  And John's guilt about keeping secrets from his sons is touching!  I love that you make John a loving father instead of a cruel, thoughtless father!

Ben Seraph is a wonderful character!  He is totally unpredictable!  Hilarious that he calls John "dark and twisty and cynical" (which he is, but it's the pot calling the kettle black)!

Author's Response:

Joshua is such a lost kid, and John can see that by just looking at him. He's lost both his parents and his kid sister. He has no where to go, no one to turn to, and John can't help but feel for him.

I can't stand John not being a loving and caring father. Sure, he made some mistakes - big mistakes. That doesn't mean he didn't love his children with every fiber of his being. I think John's major downfall wasn't being honest with Sam and Dean. He takes on too much of the pressure, takes in all of the guilt, and he has virtually no one he feels he can really talk it through with. So, yes, John's flawed and not always the best father, but he was a great father in his own right. He's a lot better than some of the fathers out in the world.

Ben Seraph, gosh, I love him. I never expected him translate as well on paper as he did in my head. I'm rather proud of his translation, his quirks, his emotionless void. Ben, on the other hand, is very clever and he knows what he's doing.

This is a very interesting take on the hunting community/teaching situation and I like the idea of Sam and Dean getting to know Joshua as a rookie hunter, nice chapter - Angela

Author's Response: Every hunter had to start some place, so I'm glad you like the setup. Also, I'm glad you seem to like Joshua. Thanks for reading.
