You're putting both Sammy and me through the wringer here, you know that don't you? lol. This whole story is so emotional and it's a very beautiful depiction of what could easily have happened given their lifestyle, but the last line cracked me up completely... ...Neither of them saw the tall, dark-haired figure sitting in the car across the street, tears falling unhindered from his eyes. Just as he didn’t see the sleek black car taking a detour around the Stanford campus before heading north towards a new motel, a new hunt... ...you are trying to do me in here aren't you!!! Great chapter - especially that last line.

Read this last night but was so tired so came back to review today. Just loved this story, so very well pitched with the angst being created on both sides by Sam having confused all the signals, and Dean feeling guilty as hell and responsible...it's a lovely exploration of what makes the boys tick...and great update!

You know, I never really liked Becky, but after reading this I think I am willing to give her another chance. This story gets better with every chapter. I am so caught up in it when I got to the end I realized I was holding my breath!
