Dean sure is surrounded by strong stubborn people who all share a deep love for him. Sam, Asher and Bobby - a lethal combination! I always love Sam when he is assertive, the competent hunter and fierce brother that sit just under his gentle and non-confrontational nature and you have written this so well. You got my attention!! Your words "It wasn't difficult to remember Dean's face as he looked down on Asher's lifeless body. It was an expression printed forever on his mind" took me right back their, it was intense then and it is intense now. And I caught my breath again. With your intriguing summary and your exciting first two chapters, I'm all yours!!

How exciting, a follow-up story to Sangre Vital - you know how much i loved that fic of yours! Excellent beginning. You leapt straight into a hunt by lacing it with suspense and mystery, and put us in Dean's headspace fom the get go. You wrote of Dean's confusion and panic so well, my pulse was hammering. Loved how you had Dean struggling to be rational - the hunter always near the surface. You so nailed Dean with the "He wasn't the type for public displays" and his need to find Sam as top of his plan. My me, a highlight was your description of Dean's mind racing with thoughts of Sam. Beautifully written! Your description of Asher's impact on Dean was amazing. You sure have Dean in deep. I laughed through the lump in my throat with this line "I'm in a committed relationship" !!! Great work, absolutely no need to be nervous. Looks like another fun ride ahead!

Dean is a hard nut to crack. He wants to be tough and macho, but inside he's just a teddy bear. I'm glad you think I did him justice!

I think this was a good start. You have nothing to be nervous about. Your beginning chapter was better than some of the ones I have done. I liked your word choice. I may have to read your previous story so I can learn more about Asher.

I'm delighted that you're writing again about Asher and Dean. What a beginning, poor Dean he feels guilty but he doesn't know how he got there and where is Sam. I'll be looking for the next chapter, and I know I'm going to enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed Sangre Vital.
