'To The Rescue' is another story that sets up everything for 'Choices' which is the story I'm working on now and follows the same ideas that 'Sword and Shield' introduces. I love the idea that Dean is there to encourage and protect Sam until he makes his choice. I also love Dean's words that the world will go on no matter what choice Sam makes. That a choice is just a choice. You've really thought outside the box in this one.
Author's Response: I destroyed my thinking box years ago which is evident at my laughing at inappropriate moments. My husband as gotten his stop doing that look down to a science but sometimes I just can't help myself. Author's Response: Some people love the idea and others hate it. I think it's obvious that I'm a fan. And with a face like an angel - has to be Dean - who made that man so damn good looking? Should be a sin just to look at him and yet we get to do it every week and in reruns (kind of) and on DVD, yea, definately a sin. ;o)

I thought that made him much more deplorable than anything he did physically to Dean because, right or wrong, he thought he was doing the right thing but the book was all about him.....scum bag. The first chapter has me hooked! I was reading Choices and decided to get the background scoop so I switched stories. (Choices is excellent, too!!) You would think by now those Winchesters would know there is no such thing as an easy salt & burn. We know it---why don't they?
Author's Response: I'm glad that you decided to get the background info. It's not necessary for Choices but it makes some references make more sense. Easy salt and burn? Wouldn't we be disappointed if they went into every hunt perfectly prepared and got everything right the first time? I love it when they expect no problems and then all hell breaks loose! Author's Response: I love being a tease! I am working on the rest of the story right now. You have hit the nail on the head as to why I wrote this. It irritates the heck oout of me that Dean has no purpose in the arc of the show except to be Sam's older brother. He does not further the plot at all and if this story were being published for a book the editor would be all over the writer about that. But, it is Kripke's world so the best we can do is develop the poor character in fanfiction. As far as my story I hope to be submitting the first chapter soon. This is a terrific story. the terror for Dean has been palapable and I am relieved he's out of the hospital. I'm kinda fond of Angels myself so am intrigued to read more about your protector angel theme. Thanks for sharing bev x
