This story makes me smile so much...some great lines in here but one in particular got me...

'But his eyes showed a glimmer of pain behind his brave front, like a kid who'd been asked to surrender his favorite toy to the neighborhood toy drive.  The child trying to remain strong because he knew it was the right thing to do, but it pained him all the same, leaving a hole that even a brand new toy placed under his tree on Christmas morning could never fill.  Knowing nothing would ever replace what he had willingly given up.  Dean's voice was gruff, detached, as he focused on the job, "So... Sam... you got anything?"'

Loved that, and doesn't it sum up the sadness Dean must have felt knowing his brother didn't want to follow in his and their dad's footsteps...

Great job with this BJ, enjoying it a lot!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Louy,

I do love writing this story, so much more fun than the angst.  Dean always has a certain amount of sadness and facing that Sam doesn't want to be a hunter must have been hard on him.  Just like a parent knowing their kid doesn't want to enter the family business.

Take care, B.J.

Hahahaha...i love how you used Dean's good looks to get the job done...the series never did really explore that part....and the way they're flirting....i could just picture it in my mind!!

Author's Response:

Yeah, and since Dean is only 18 girls would be a major factor in all his thoughts, even more so than now.  LOL

I especially had fun imagining Sammy's reaction to it all, going back and picturing how that 14 year old would react to watching his brother flirting.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, B.J.

And the plot is finally revealed and I have to give you credit, never saw this one coming.

Always pleased to read something completely original, and this is definately that. I would have LOVED to see that emo rendition of Leo's final scene...lol That mental image is going to stay with me for a while I think!.

Thanks for the read, great update.

Author's Response:

Thank you for the highest compliment!  With so many Supernatural stories out there to have one of my stories described as original is a thrill.

I love that this show is so inspiring and has such a huge canvass that you can write humor, action, family, and just about anything else and incorporate these Winchesters.  It truly makes writing fun.

And as far as seeing Dean act out Leo's part, Kripke can have any of my stories at any time to film for the show! Yeah, right, I guess our vivid imaginations will have to do on that one.  LOL

Thanks again, B.J.

I echo the last sentiment...what the hell is happening to Dean???? although it was hilarious, the way Dean would rather face hell hounds than the rabid crowd.....LOL

Author's Response:

Well, if you want to know what is happening to Dean you just have to keep reading! LOL

Yes, I love writing Dean's snarky comments.  He is such a fun character to write.

Oh BJ, Cameron's gonna whup your ass for this line! "The moviegoers were rabid, crazed on this Titanic juju juice" and this! " the ending of their insipid movie."

Whoa I love that whole last paragraph1 how could you do that to that sweet shy boy?  Making him humiliate himself infront of the whole theatre!  Hysterical BJ!

bev xx

Author's Response:

Hey, Bev, thanks again!

Yeah, I guess any hope of Cameron making me a star is shot.... wait a minute, there was never any hope of that.  Too bad, Cameron, off come the kid gloves! LOL

And just to set the record straight, I am not doing anything to that poor, sweet boy... it's the hunt and other circumstances beyond my control.  I am simply the historian relating what happened back then.

Take care, B.J.

BJ.

Cool hunny, I love Dean's inner voice discussions with himself and your eye for detail. the description of the librarian is cool and I loved this line too. "Her tongue rolled out of her mouth and seductively swept across her lush lips drawing all focus to the succulent dusty-rose ribbons of pleasure." Foxy Hun!

reading on!

Author's Response:

Thanks, Bev,

Yeah, Dean is so much fun to play with, especially at this age when he is trying to be all cool and now with him so uncertain of himself and how this hunt is going.

Hah, I'd sit through any number of movies in haunted theatres if it meant Dean would go up on stage and re-enact the endings for me...that's gotta be worth the admission price by itself...lol

Cool update!

Author's Response:

Wouldn't that be fun?  If only Jensen would come to my hometown theater.... LOL

Thanks again, B.J.

that was hilarious, loved that chapter.well done.

Author's Response: Thanks, that was one of the chapters I most enjoyed writing.  Dean and Sammy bantering back and forth is always a joy.  Take care, B.J.

I loved this line, absolutely fantastic...made me laugh out loud...

'Dean's face froze with his familiar smirk plastered across it, chiseled in stone and impenetrable, while his eyes nervously darting about offered the only indication of his distress.  His body was still ready for that tumble in the hay, but his brain was lamenting the death of a beautiful, but vacuous, mind.  Thank God, she still has a hot bod. '

...cant wait till next update.

Author's Response:

Glad you appreciated Dean's little flirtation and his horror at her fav movie.  Man, can this guy catch a break this time out?  At least I promise he won't have to watch any Woody Allen movies.  Take care, B.J.

Reviewer: mymuseandi (Signed) · Date: 14/02/08 05:18 AM · On: Chapter 6 - He's Not Heavy, He's My Brother

LOL i love Dean in this chapter....a very good mixture of hunter and, er, civilian.....and even a hot chick can't detract him from the job...which is good.... :) And the way he immediately freezes when she said that she loved Titanic! Hahahahahaha.......

Author's Response: Thanks!  I worried that some might not like Dean being a little distracted in this chapter, but hey, that's Dean, right? ...a good looking chick, especially concerning he is just 18.  Later, B.J.

Hahahahaha...Sammy to the rescue!!! I think maybe the spirit won't be able to deal with both Winchesters...LOL

Wonder how Sam would feel about Titanic though..... :)

Author's Response:

Any spirit should run in fear with two Winchesters after it.  Somehow, I think emo-Sam is more tolerant that Dean with chick flick movies.

Glad you are enjoying my story.  Thanks for reading and reviewing.  Take care, B.J.

very good, still loving this fic.poor dean.

poor Dean , how could you be so cruel ! really loving this so far , cant wait for a new chapter . hope he doesn t have to suffer for much longer before he can take out his frustration on that spirit ! ! well done you x

Author's Response: Thanks, glad you are enjoying.  Dean is suffering a little, but it is that damn spirit's fault!  He has a few more chapters of angst, but he will be victorious in the end.  More brotherly moments to come and that makes it all worthwhile.  Later, B.J.

Reviewer: bulletbabe (Signed) · Date: 06/02/08 03:39 PM · On: Chapter 5 - Back to the Future

This story makes me smile so wide...there are just too many great lines in this but I loved the mention of the 'comparing scars' scene in LW3 - how did we all know that would be Dean's favourit bit...

...and now he's going to get help whether he wants it or not...there can only be trouble ahead! Great update...

Author's Response:

Thanks again!  Yep, I love writing the younger Winchesters when they had some angst, but not like the present.  When they can still joke around more and be brothers.

I always picture the Lethal Weapon movies as amongst Dean's favs and with all his scars, and boys being boys, it just seemed like he'd take pride in beating ol' Mel!

And yep, Sammy to the rescue!  Take care, B.J.

BJ Hunny

"he deserved a medal or better yet, a tender thank you from a frisky woman.  Problem being, no imperiled damsels were waiting for him to rescue them.  The harsh reality this time around was he was the only girl hoping to be saved.  And I kid Sammy about being the girl in the family?  Damn!  I've been such a freakin' girl about this whole deal... man!  God, I hate this job!"

God I love that bit!  Angst ridden Dean worried he's turning into 'Samantha' whilst determinly lusting after girls! Sweet!

That's whole movie scene chat is terrific BJ, so perfectly two siblings tormenting each other! Tickling!  Well I'd queue up in the rain for some of that!

"Slightly squirrely"  what a cool phrase!

This is just a blast BJ, more whenever you're ready Hunny!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much, Bev.

Yeah, this story is such a joy to write.  Letting the guys be brothers and kid around.  And I love throwing in all the references to different movies.

Dean is so much fun to play with, his little moments of angst mixed in with his attempts to be the macho tough guy.

And imagining Jensen's amazing eyes doing the squirrely bit... ah, yes.  Supernatural is so much fun!

lovely chapter,enjoying this story.

Author's Response: Thanks!  This is one story I am really enjoying writing.  It's nice to see the Winchesters all together and let them have some bonding time.  Take care, B.J.

BJ.

Funny sweety!  Loved Dean's disgust at being conceived to the beat of an un'cool' movie  he's such a big macho idjit and so lovable!  And so nice the exchanges between father and son

Did Cameron come get ya yet??

Bev xx

Author's Response:

Hey, Bev,

Nope, Cameron hasn't come for me yet, but now I'm thinking Woody and Clint will join him and they'll gang up on me!  Let's see how many more I can add to the get B.J. list before I finish out this story! LOL

I love John and even tho he can be aggravating, he does love his boys and I love showing that.  He is such an interesting character to write, harsh but loving, and definitely not always in the right... just like ALL those Winchesters!

Thanks, B.J.

"Man, this is the best part.  You don't mess with a man's brother," Beautifully put and pure Dean..

And...Damn, when did my little boy grow into this man? I loved that glimps of true JW...and I'm still loving story, this Clint, Woody and all...lol

Author's Response:

Thanks!  Yeah, I'm gonna have all of Hollywood out to get me.  Think Dean will come protect me?  After all, these are HIS opinions!  LOL

I so love making JW that gruff, but loveable dad.  Take care, B.J.

Hahahahahaha...if i was Dean i wouldn't wanna know that little tidbit about where i was conceived either!!!! Woody Allen movies!!!! ROFL

Author's Response:

Poor Dean is finding out that there are lots of bad chick flick movies out there!  LOL  There are worse things than facing down the supernatural evil they hunt.

Thanks for reading and reviewing, B.J.

Oh, Dean is soo not gonna want to be connected to Woody Allen.  This chapter made me smile and chuckle all the way through, really enjoyed it, especially that little glimpse of the man John used to be.  Nice to see him still in there somewhere.  Wonderful chapter!

Author's Response:

Thanks!  Yeah, I'm with Dean, I want nothing to do with Woody Allen either! LOL

I love John and I love letting him show his boys how much he does love them and letting him be that dad on occasion.  One of the reasons I love the preseries stories, we still have John to love and hopefully we can show him without all the pressures of hunting down that demon.

Take care, B.J.

Dark angel s2 rocks and one very handsome man is resposable for that opinion, good job with the story.

Author's Response:

Yes, I was so disappointed with DA1 and just couldn't get into it.  Then they bring on this smart aleck kid and I can't miss an episode.  Funny how that works!

Glad you are enjoying my story.  Take care, B.J.

hah Dark Angel!!  Funny and the cute hero could be called ???

Loved it BJ and yup Titanic is so not a Dean film!!  Oow Cameron's gonna be after you though!

Next chapter please

bev x

Author's Response:

Thanks again, Bev.  Cameron needs to remember I paid to see the film... twice!  And I do so love his action flicks.

And I love paying tribute to my other fav show, Dark Angel and that cutie named Alec.

Take care, B.J.

"Damn, Dean certainly is a looker.  God help us.  Dean not only got his mother's great looks, but John proudly took credit for a certain air about him, a charisma or presence, not to mention those dimples.  What a lady-killer his son turned out to be"  BJ - love poor John's stress over Dean's killer looks!  and he's so right!

"he was pretty sure he could still take him, like ninety percent sure" I loved that phrase when Dean said it before he stabbed himself in the chest WIAWSNB  how apt that he got it from John!

Great story. funny!  Thanks for sharing it!

Bev x

Author's Response:

Thanks, Bev.  Yeah, can you imagine poor John not only having to deal with all those supernatural elements, but also with his supernaturally good looking teenage sons? LOL

So glad you liked the 90% line.  Sometimes I'm not sure whether I am paying homage to a great line or out and out stealing it.  I love throwing in references to the show.

Thanks again, so glad you are enjoying this as much as I am in writing it.  Later, B.J.
