awesome job, kel!! loved the banter between the Floss and Peg...lol, it's really great how Dean feels right at home with the two old ladies. Great job Kel! Love those old ladies they are just too much...Loved the "poor Paulie" story...who knew that if you didn't take a hot shower to ease your cough that you would get hit by a car! Man better watch out for that cuz I've been coughing up a storm! LOL
Poor Sam ordered to bedrest! He's just gonna go stir crazy! While Dean will be eating and eating and eating like the food whore he is! I really think I could win him over and make him my love slave just by cooking for him! WOW wouldn't that be great!

Wonderful banter, Peg and Floss rock!! A few more home cooked meals and steamy showers with eucalyptus oil can't do any harm, can they?? Why then, do I feel this is the calm before the storm! I loved the line, 'Dean's familiar voice washed over him', it manages to convey such a feeling of security. Great story, Jane

I like the chapter and poor Sam's right, Dean'll be full on mother hen mode, and now he's got a back up crew to help him. Medically ya did good! Antibiotics for viruses are a pet peeve of mine, they don't work and contribute to the alarming spread of resistant infections. So, of my soap box --- I was thrilled to see Sam w/o them. By the way, there's something called vasovagal syncope that is fainting caused by irritating the vagus nerve and one of the ways that can happen is severe coughing spells, so this all fits to a T. I actually was full on ready to have sam on anitbiotics till I read an article stressing otherwise...trust me when I say I will be questioning my Ped doc next time he wants to prescribe antibiotics for bronchitis...lol. I love the Mabel sisters! Iused to know two sisters exactly like them (deceased now) and one of their names was Florence, Flossie for short. This chapter has helped me remember the fun I had with them when I was younger. Thanks! Ialways get a kick out of the Winchesters when they Christo a non-demon. LOL!

Oh dear Kel, you had me cracking up with this chapter...
Dean backed out of the way, careful to stay out of range of Peg's elbows. The ice hockey world didn't realize what they were missing with Peg. The woman could have been a legend on the ice thanks to her elbow jab alone. The sisters are awesome. Loved protective Dean. But oh dear, poor Sam, being stuck in that little town for longer and Dean strangely seems to enjoy it... Looking forward to more and thanks for this entertaining read so far :)

This was GREAT!!!!! I love these 2 ladies- just what the boys need. I especially love how they get Dean to fix the car- making sure it gives the boys a breather in terms of money. So glad you have decided to post a new story! Thanks for spoiling us with a long juicy chapter to begin with. I am so loving these two ladies. The way you describe them makes me just want to give them a hug. I cracked up when they made the trade with Dean to take care of their car in return for a free stay or when Sam Christo'd them. I just loved how Sam waits for Dean's "approval" on the Chicken soup with Parmesan: "Dean barely pausing from his assault on his own soup, reached out and knocked Sam's hand out of the way, allowing Peg to sprinkle the cheese"... hilarious! I am really looking forward to the next chapters! Is Sam gonna be the one ending up unconscious or might it even be Dean? Will the sisters continue to be as loving and caring as they are now? Always so happy to see you've got a new story on the go! Just loved the sisters! A new haven for Dean and Sam to retreat to.... So of course Dean would love them with their "fudge-colored eyes"!! This was awesome though - "To put it bluntly Dean was basically as a big a ho for food as he was for women, yes there were certain qualities he looked for in both but when in need ‘any port in a storm' was pretty much the motto Dean lived by." Can't wait to see who's gonna be unconscious.... thinking that cold can't be good.....

I really enjoyed this first chapter of yours. I always feel sorry for the boys when they come down with a cold or the flu--the just seem extra vulnerable when it happens.

Loving the dialogue especially with the sisters reminds me of the two elderly sisters from the Waltons... (forgot their names but that is who I am picturing when I read this chapter)... Now not sure what else could be going on but wondering if they are as innocent as they appear to be... all could be well as far as I know. Still wondering if there is a twist somewhere... Enjoying so far and looking forward to the update...
