The mental image i have of Dean right now is not actually a good one. In fact, it is a very scary image!! I hope Sam comes to the rescue soon...i can't think how much more Dean can take...how much more I can take!

OMG! You once again write Dean's inner turmoil and his pain very well but it's heart-breaking and hard to bear. I've always loved your stories and I am curious where you will take us this time. I sure hope there is a light at the end of the tunnel... The change of tenses was unusual this time, I think I prefer the past tense writing but I am curious how this will turn out over the next chapters. Nevertheless very good writing and very intense.

OMG.....firstly, how do you survive back-to-back SAW movies??? Watching the 2nd one ONLY has made me swear not to watch the others...
Secondly, the whole image of Dean in a halo brace is stomach-churning.....and from the looks of it, it's not the worst that could happen....AAAAAAAAAARRRGGHHHH!!!
*hyperventilating slightly*....Wondering how the next chapters are going to be...

Author's Response: It was not easy watching back to back SAW movies - hence my wild imagination taking me off to a Dean-centric island where I could write my little heart out in my mind. If it wasn't for the fact that me sitting down to watch the movies was 6 months in the making and that I'd made a promise to my (then) boyfriend it would not have happened at all. Then again, I probably wouldn't have come up with the idea for this story, so... So glad you're enjoying the story. There is far worse yet to come - hold on to your hat!

A great start - not sure Sam's gonna find Dean literally nosing around in the gravel, but figures he'd try. Halo braces really do look like they escaped from the inquistion, don't they?
