Wow, that was great! Your story really "filled out" the episode. I really liked that Dean felt guilty about accepting the pendant. Thanks for writing and sharing!

The xmas episode was perfect, but I love when I can explore it further and I really felt as much as Dean loved and wanted the amulet, he would also feel guilty about taking what was supposed to be Dad's. I was glad to give him permission for once to be selfish and keep it. And I do believe it is one of those instances of "meant to be". Take care, B.J.

This's wonderful, thoroughly great writing! But I loved especially these lines: "Bobby knew the real reason Dean had survived it all was because he had to, he had to take care of his little brother; Sammy giving Dean his purpose, a reason to keep going, a job to do." and "Maybe together John's boys could give each other strength."
Author's Response: Thanks so much! Yeah, I do think you often do what needs doing even when you think you can't. Like Dean said in AHBL2, Dad didn't have to tell me, I just always knew... to take care of Sammy. Having a purpose did keep him going. John had his vengeance and Dean had Sammy. BJ, Wow! A great addition to a wonderful episode. I loved your lines “Bobby knew the real reason Dean had survived it all was because he had to, he had to take care of his little brother; Sammy giving Dean his purpose, a reason to keep going, a job to do. His family his only refuge from the storm, and the boy had latched on tight, refusing to surrender to the darkness that threatened to claim them. Maybe together John's boys could give each other strength.” I loved you adding Bobby, he’s such a loving and grounding force for the boys. Could see Dean’s guilt and his “selfishness” for wanting to keep the pendant, and his desire to still keep Sam’s innocence. Bravo!!! Crystal

I love how Dean acquired the pendant, but I couldn't help but feel "our" Dean would feel a certain amount of guilt... (knowing how selfless he is) and it was nice to examine that and have Bobby give him permission to keep the amulet. I totally loved the Christmas episode, perfect in every way. Thanks again, B.J.

Author's Response: Thanks! I too absolutely loved the Christmas episode. The brotherly moments were so heartwarming and I love seeing the Wee!chesters. How Dean acquired the amulet was sheer perfection, but knowing Dean I just envisioned him having a slight twinge of guilt over getting it instead of Dad. And of course, I love placing Bobby in my stories and it seemed a natural fit to see what his reaction was to Dean getting the amulet instead of John. Thanks for reviewing, B.J.
