This is a necessary, non-Winchester missing scene. Here I was, thinking this would be Jo giving Ellen the news about what really happened to Bill, but you flipped it neatly, so Ellen confirmed what Jo already knew. A very interesting take on John as a hunter, why "he never hunted with anyone who wasn't kin."

Good job!  Sue

Author's Response: Thank you!  I'm glad it wasn't quite what you were expecting, I always like to try a slightly different angle from the norm.  :)

I thought about this happening when I watched that episode, and its nice to actually "see it" if you know what I mean. :D You did a great job! Just what I would imagine would really happen. I love how you put John in a different light (a most definitely better light) than the demon but with the same facts. Shows how much who's telling the story can affect perception. Fantastic one-shot, loved it!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it!  :)

I'm rather pro-John and didn't think it went down exactly like the demon said.  Perception can matter so much.

John got it wrong and made mistakes but he was always trying to do what he thought was best for others.

This story's a well written resolution to a started story-line that will never be resolved in the show.  It was nice.  Thanks.

I thought this was very original, it's nice to read something from a completely different perspective and I thought you handled this very well. I've always loved Ellen and thought she was underused in the series on the whole.

Beautifully written, very fluid and easy to read. I enjoyed it a lot ...

Thanks for the read.

Author's Response:

Thank you!  I agree it would be nice to see more of Ellen on the show, but you never know, the strike may end soon and we'll get to see her again.

I'm glad you enjoyed reading this.  :)
