Yeah, ok, you're true to your word, but honestly, now the hell can you leave it like that? Oh, and Sam performing miracles, holy crap! I certainly hope this gets an update sooner rather than later because I'm about ready to fall off the edge of my seat!

Helen, glad to see you back. Missed you and your exciting updates! This was a wonderful chapter. I think I held my breath the entire time it took to read it. No wonder I was lightheaded. Or maybe that was just relief when Sam literally brought Dean back to life. Sooooooo, an in-law visit, eh? Maybe this is a good thing--imagine all the trouble you can direct at the boys as a much needed stress reliever.

Hun, please don't think my tears while reading were a bad reflection on the chapter. It was wonderful. When it comes to the boys, my emotions just run away with themselves. And I knew that every second I was reading that Dean wasn't going to stay dead. But his words--and Sam's words--were just little arrows of grief in my heart. And, hey, there's nothing like crying into your morning cup of coffee. As far as the crunching of bones in his chest? Well, I have to admit there--you did get a smile out of me. I kept thinking "Ooh, that's gotta hurt. And, boy, that's sure not gonna make his recovery any easier." So see--it did lighten the mood for me a bit. I was thinking ahead to possible future hospital scenes. Are we getting some??

Ahhh, crap--I can't even type because my eyes are too full of tears. They've been pouring down my cheeks for most of the chapter, but most especially when Dean started whispering about the bright light and seeing his mom and how she wanted him to come to her. And you completely did me in with “I’m sorry Sam…I’m so sorry…I love you little brother…” I KNOW you said it's not a deathfic but my mind doesn't seem to want to wrap itself around that truth.

Think this is probably the most painful chapter you ever wrote, I'm scared out of my wits for Dean and it is just one little sentence here that keeps me from going insane completely, the thing the Demon lady said about Sam "he believes enough for all three of you". God, I hope she is right! And why would anyone who writes these brilliant things want to hide behind a rock? Don't hide, write the next chapter and release us!
Author's Response: Thanks Sabine! I must warn you, if you think this one was painful, wait until chapter 15. Remember what I said about the bonds of brotherly love being stronger than death? Well, it would have made it into chapter 14 if I'd been a little less wordy. 15 is half written though and should be up by friday...but don't hold me to that. I got a bad feeling about that one though, I think the rock won't be big enough to hide behind and I may just get hit by flying debris. (Just kidding!)
